Hi Guys

I have an Opel Corsa B 2003 1.6is utility vehicle.
this is my problem:
at first the idling of the car was too high. it idles at 2000rpm this was going on for a year... all of the sudden the idling is too low.
this bakkie uses petrol like a V8 engine.

I have changed the idle control valve, throttle position sensor, water temp sensor, the coil pack is new, i have a new battery, we changed the chip in the ECU and nothing changed.

What chip did you change in the Ecu?

Also, unplug the map sensor while the car is idling, if idling improves you have found your problem, about R600 from goldwagen for a new one

Which TPS and which idle valve, Goldwagen or original GM? I struggled sticking revs for such a long time until i went and bought an OEM TPS at Williams Hunt, it was expensive but it solved all my issues.

Fortunately for me I did not fiddle too much with other components, so it is easy to isolate the problem to the TPS. I tested the resistance between the GW and the GM part, the GW was so much out of spec, a difference of more than 500 ohms between the two. I recently had low idle issues recently, turned out it was just a dirty ICV. The TPS is in an awkward position, getting it properly tightened is hard and it tends to move when you press the throttle.

Have the fuel injectors taken out and cleaned.

Worked wonders for an opel corsa 2007 that reved too high and other times alternated high/low, even while sitting at a traffic light. Did all the other stuff everyone said first. LoL someone even blamed the aircon, but doing the clean worked....

There's some relay in the kick panel in the driver's side footwell that needs to be changed.

Wouldn't a relay either work or not work, can it work at a non optimal level as described in this problem? I thought at the end of the day a relay is a just a fancy switch, its either it works, does not work or is intermittent.

Nah, they go faulty. I know from experience </3

I'm fairly sure the Ecu has no chips that can be changed.

That particular MOTRONIC variant has a FLASH ROM, so the OP is either talking BS or was fed mushrooms in the dark.
These are relatively simple fuel injection systems, there's not a hell of a lot that can cause this.. but ja... easier to blame the ECU as per past tradition.

Is the car perhaps uni chipped or something?
