2006 FA Cup thread

hmmm...Cup holders out of the Cup in the 3rd Round. I bet that's not a stat that happens often.

And 'Pool being in the 'Top 4' haven't beaten any of the other 3 this season...Rafa should be worried.

What an awfull game at Anfield. Both Arsenal and Liverpool should be ashamed.

I haven't seen Arsenal play so defensive(pathetic at that even) in a long time. Liverpool then manage to lose 3-1 to them  .

I'm seriously p1ssed off right now. Not only was that game awfull but it was hot as hell here today plus polution and idiots down the road playing loud Kwaito(it happend last night as well but from another house:sick: )

So as I said that game just rounded off a real crap day.

*now where is my bat*

hey alan atleast we won the cricket..

that aside, arsenal may have played defensive but they made something of most of their breaks :) rosicky's goals were great, and its good to see him scoring finally.. as for henry's goal, well, thats a bit of an embarassment for liverpools defense.. but then again its HENRY:)

goals are here if anyone wants them ;)

Ag man. At least tomorrow isn't monday. What footy is on tomorrow?

Liverpool's defense was atrocious. One slip up is reasonable, but 3 of them - that's pushing it! Rafa MUST work with his defenders and produce a result in the upcoming Carling Cup game.

I agree. The defense was shocking. Arsenal attacked well but not their best performance by a long shot. IMO Liverpool could have taken them out had their defense been tighter and their attacks more fluid.

They definitely could have prevented Arsenal from scoring 2 goals in quick succession. Let's hope Tuesday's game is one for the books.

Tuesday will be two very different teams playing. My bet will be on Arsenal winning again. (I tend to lose footy bets!)

Yeah, it will definately be an Arsenal reserve side on Tuesday, no one really cares about the carling cup :P good opportunity to rest players

welll liverpool probably wont field their strongest team either..

we'll probably land up watching two reserve teams :)

dont think either team wanna risk injuring key players for a stupid carling cup

Haha Arsenal win as expected and to be honest they are miles better than Liverpool in terms of play, in fact on their day Arsenal are unmatched in England.

O, is that so? Strange that your so-called "wonder" team is behind Liverpool in the Premier League. ;)

by 1 point, dont get too excited dude...it wont be for long..

and it wasnt that way until the sheffield swamp game..

and the wonder team just beat ya guys.. AT ANFIELD :)
who woulda thought?

Liverpool have lost just one of their last 36 home games in all competitions-against Benfica in March.

They have won 18 and drawn two of the 20 games at Anfield since that defeat.

Liverpool have kept 13 clean sheets in the last 16 games and only Benni McCarthy of Blackburn has scored against the Reds in the last six games.

some stats that are no longer valid :P

Angelo, it has been a while. Been relatively quiet around here without your crazy comments...:)

I am starting to wonder if you are not that crazy guy from Supersport who was arguing with Batch in the studio and is just as crazy an Arsenal supporter as you seem to be?? :D

i dunno hey, Liverpool are one of the teams that actually seem to value the CC. Everyone else ignores it, but it is silverware at least. And don't forget, the mighty Man United won it last year, so it can't be that pointless ;) :D
