5 most expensive Manure players:

Rio 30mill
Rooney 30mill
Veron 28 mill
Van Nistelrooy 19
Hargrieves/Carrick/Nani 18

5 most expensive Liverpool players:

Torres 25mill
Masch 18 mill
Babel 11 mill
Heskey 11mill
Alonso 10mill

About to have a power cut so someone else will have to do Arsenal and Chelski

EDIT:

5 most expensive Chelsea players:

Shev 30mill
Drogba 25mill
Essien 25mill
SWP 21mill
Carvalho 19mill

4 most expensive Arsenal players:

Wiltord, £13.0M
Henry, £10.5M
Reyes, £10.5M
Hleb 10 mill

Does that not go to show that the top four have all spent a lot of money on new players?:confused:

Oh I am sorry. I forgot about the endless stream of young English players that the Arsenal youth academy churns out each year

Nope, unlike you I don't feel patriotic towards Enlgish boytjies being churned out of the premier league sides... I couldn't care less if the whole side is foreign as long as they are there for the team and the fans... The league is by nature open to any players.
Haven't you noticed, there are so few English on the island anyhow lol.

It's a global society - I was born in South Africa, but that shouldn't stop me from being welcome in New Zealand or the UK for that matter.

That is exactly the problem. That is why the England national team sucks so badly. The sides are not forced to nurture local talent. It is a sad state of affairs when a PL side can name an entire squad without one English player in it. Yes, I am looking at you Arsenal and Chelsea.

hj what do you mean the england side suck

the england team is filled with super stars

the problem with england is most of the plrs dont like each other and cannot play together

there is no lack of talent in the england thats for sure

yea brad remember players get old

united are not like arsenal who think going 3 seasons without a trophy is fine, if they on a losing streak they go spend 50 million to ensure they compete

arsenal however dont do this and thats why they will finish trophyless again :)

England have won the WC once, in 1966. Since then they haven't even made it to a major final :( It is pathetic. In terms of final appearances and winning major tourneys, England are 17th in the world.

Forcing PL teams to blood some English youth would help this. So would a winter break ( but I don't want that either! :p)

well you can see liverpool never spend money or they would not be without the trophy for 18 years

im tired of hearing o united bought and chelsea bought that when liverpool and arsenal are sitting on a ton of money

you cannot win trophies without laying out money

business 101

you need to spend money to make money

if your going to buy cheap players expect poor results and no trophies

if your going to spend 100 million on players expect trophies or to atleast be fighting for them

jsheed wait for the westham game, bolton used to be our bogey side as well but last time we play it was 2-0 to united

westham are not the same side and are very poor now

plus i personally believe ferguson let westham win to avoid relegation

catch how can u say chelsea bought their way?

they spent alot on players in a few seasons as opposed to united doing it over a long span

its only arsenal and liverpool who are to cheap to splash the cash

im also so happy chelsea can challenge man united because i fear without the chelsea revolution man united would have dominated this decade like they did in the 90's

Well said killa :)

Yeah. If we combine the English players from Arsenal and Liverpool, there's only about 3 or 4 in total across both teams. Pathetic. Should actually call them Europe 1 and Europe 2. If you study the league closely, you would know that most youth English talent comes through from Man United's youth system.

Hello havent hammers been 1-0 for the last 2-3 encounters? How are you going to beat voodoo team that easily - man your predictions suck they are always wrong.

J

funny how i was predicting chelsea could win the league when arsenal where still on top yet you where no where to be seen and i dont even support them

then chelsea pop into second with a much better chance and all of sudden your all big mouthed :)

i guess when chelsea have no chance you'll slip away and not say anything again

Well ,last time i remembered Chelsea were as good as Everton and along came russian Billionair Roman who bought all superstars, and even hijacked one of our own, Peter Kenyon. So you telling me chelsea didnt pay their way to the top ?

united earned their own money and bought/buy players. The way United did it, and the way Chelsea did, are worlds apart.

i jnever said anything about more posts

all i said was i never jsheed around this thread till chelsea started having a chance of winning the league :)

i dont care who has more posts

look at nivek :) where'd he get 2 since arsenal dropped to 3rd :)

yea maybe so catch but who really cares man? united built of a brand name and so have chelsea
only difference is chelsea took less time to do it

man united have always had money since i started watching football, chelsea where not so lucky so the only way chelsea would ever do well is someone like roman coming in and splashing lots of cash which has made the premiership that more exciting

i wish more oil billionaires would buy smaller clubs like newcastle tot everton and give them 200 million to spend :)
