I wish we could get Berbatov. He is a legend. I have wanted him all season!

Ya he is last I heard he was heading to Barca but they wanted ETO so I dont think that will be happening.

Eto over Berbatov any damn day of the week. His goal ratio is the best in Barca history. Probably the most feared striker in Spain. Had a bad spell this season with injury. I dont class Berbatov in the same league as Eto yet.

Selling of Eto, for Berbatov will never happen. At least i hope not.

@ Supa - it wont be nice to have both. Cos Berbatov will warm the bench. there is no problem with Barca strike force, only with their patchy defence.

I have not seen enough of Eto'o to say for sure really. What I have seen of Berbatov, which is quite a lot, was that he always stood out in the Spurs team and always played a part in their victories. Also, we could play him upfront alongside Rooney as a real striker and allow Tevez to drop deeper...

Ya, fair enough. Eto is a machine. Reason why Berbatov stands out, well cos he is playing in a Spurs team :)

No seriously, i like Berbatov i think he is an amazing footballer. Is he better than Eto?

No

Indeed, that is the worrying thing- when someone is really class at a team that is not great- then it is not too hard to stand out :o

Like Saha was always awesome for a poor Fulham team, and when he came to United he never really got beyond OK- I know he was injured a lot as it seems he is made entirely out of biscuits, but still :p

Spurs have a great manager in Ramos and I think we going to see some big things from them next season.

i really disagree on the Sha comment. He is probably the best striker in that United lineup. for me United still dont have an out and out Striker. Rooney just doesnt seem like an agressive striker like other top teams have, sure his work rate is better than anybody. But can you honestly say he has had a brilliant season? He is becoming very average, i remember him being classed as wonder kid. I think that tag is now gone.

Only problem with Saha is, he was born injured.

saha is great just to injury prone which has messed up his united career

eto will leave barcelona i think
ronaldino will leave as well im just not sure who will pay 30m i hope chelsea or maybe even man city who he has been linked to

shevo must be off loaded back to milan

berbatov is good but i dont think he will fit in at united no space for him to be honest

spurs will be an top 5 team next year, i hope so anyhow

im sick of the top 4 dominating english footie, although its only really chelsea and united dominating at the moment

spurs have a great manager and some great players

snap rooney has had an awesome season
if he could find his deadly finish he could have scored over 20 goals easily

im not sure if you watch alot of man united but rooney has been amazing for united this season

not in terms of goals but everything else has been great

Fair enough, but that is a big problem if you have all these skills but are literally injured all the time so you can never show them :(

I mean how often does he get injured in training or even the warm-up?:o

Schlep Bloater to tackle PL dominance

Fifa president Sepp Blatter has again reiterated his plans to implement the 'six plus five' rule in the Premier League.

Blatter's latest call follows his observation that English clubs have recently dominated the UEFA Champions League.

For the last two seasons, there have been three Premier League sides in the last-four of Europe's elite club competition.

Blatter is keen to limit the number of foreign players in England's top flight, forcing sides to start every match with at least six England-qualified players.

The Frenchman is to seek a mandate from the Fifa Congress later this month to begin talks with the European Union and football's authorities over implementing the 'six plus five' rule.

National inequality

Blatter said: "Shall we let the rich become richer and say nothing?

"The big money is coming out of the Champions League - it's the biggest league in the world and practically 80 per cent of the income goes to the directly to the 32 participating clubs.

"This season, there were four English teams in the last eight, three in the semi-finals and two in the final.

"The Champions League has been very successful financially but it has also favoured national inequality. That's why, being in charge of football, I have to bring this item to the attention of the Congress.

"This is the sporting situation but let us start with our idea of the 'six plus five' rule and then we will see what the difference will be in the future.

"This rule will be fighting against the monopolies of clubs and leagues. But we are not fighting the problem of money but for the identity of national teams."

In order for a cap to be legal, Fifa will need the European Union to agree to make sport an exception to its employment laws, which guarantee freedom of movement for its citizens.

Brazilian concerns

Fifa will also look to extend the residency period to five years before a player can represent another country - in some countries the period is currently as short as two years.

Blatter added: "After only a two-year period, a player can receive nationality from another country and there is a danger that in 2014 half the players in the World Cup could come from Brazil!

"That's why the executive committee will propose to the Congress that only after five years being resident that a player can become a 'football citizen'."

As i have said before, I like the idea.

At the rate in which we are going now, the top4 will soon be in a league all of their own, like in Scotland with Rangers and Celtic and the other teams may as well just not even bother.

This would certainly make things a bit more interesting.

Eto wont leave. Why would you say Eto will leave?
Ronaldinho wants to leave. He said he doesnt want to play in the Premiership.

Players to leave Barca:
Marquez
Deco
Ronaldinho
Gudjohnsson
Abidal
Thuram
Ezquerro
Olegure
Zambrotta
Edmilson
Maybe just maybe Henry

Most of them besides Henry is almost 100% definate.

We already have a new coach. Summer cleanup has begun.

Out of those players I would be interested in Ronaldinho and maybe Abidal...
