I totally agreed with Wenger when he said that he will never send his team on a mid-season friendly cos it can affect the team ( Man UTD to Saudi). I think Ferguson should have known better to keep his boys fresh. I think he paid the price vs. Spurs.

I dunno hey. An away point at spurs really isn't the end of the world. Neither is the two point gap at the top. Gonna make an interesting end to the season for sure.

Portsmouth 0-1 Middlesbrough
Middlesbrough 0-2 Everton
Middlesbrough 1-1 Liverpool
Blackburn Rovers 1-1 Middlesbrough
Middlesbrough 1-0 Wigan Athletic
Newcastle United 1-1 Middlesbrough

Yeah, they have. Their current form is better than what it was at the start of the season.

I'm going to stick by what I said to myself originally and not select him. :) I've been doing quite alright so far. :D

That's funny. I was thinking of doing it just the other way. Problem is, i can't stand not having ronaldo in the side. Think i might get rid of fabregas instead...he is pretty pricey as well.

Fulham 2 - 1 Aston Villa

Surprise result there.

I wonder if Fulham can stay up this season? I heard the commentators saying that Roy Hodgson will earn a £1 million bonus if Fulham don't get relegated this season. :)

Lol. This would almost be quite funny if it weren't so ridiculous. I'm sure we all know who we'd rather have in our teams;)

You guys are blatantly over looking the point... I am not stating eboue is a better player but from a fiscal point of view that eboue was a better buy in terms of cash return , not goals, trophies, whatever but CASH - he is worth 40-50 times what he was bought for, cannot say the same about Ronaldo.

I think jsheed may have been thinking of Toure also from Ivory Coast, cost a few hundred thousand and is now probably 1 of the best centre backs in the world..

right you are sorry got my names mixed up, not an arsenal fan by any means but my point remains the same - i am not comparing the players I am comparing the cash return.

rofl, toure and eboue, its like sun and moon, HTF can you get mixed up with those 2 ? im no arsenal fan but i know every arsenal player and their skill/talent level. and you call me a retard ?

Anyway your point is Wenger bought him for cents and made him worth mil. Do you even know that toure was bought as a utility player ( like P.Neville @ MU) ?
Wenger didnt buy him thinking he will be a very good defender ! just shows you know jack shyte. So it was a 'lucky' buy for wenger at the end of the day.

Toure is also coming to an end, yes he is only 26 but imo his days are numbered. Last season he played like dog poo.

You overlooked my point, It is not about who buys who for little and makes him 10x the value after so many years. I called Wenger an idiot cos of how he always 'wanted' so and so player. if Wenger was so good at finding talent, Ronaldo was surely one to fight for. and he didnt. And again, I admire Wenger for his skills in managing and building a team, he is one of the best.

United fined for bookings spree

Manchester United have incurred an automatic £25,000 fine from the Football Association after seven of their players were booked during the 1-1 draw at Tottenham.

The fine is imposed any time a team picks up six or more yellow cards in a match, but United will not face any disciplinary action after a number of players remonstrated with the assistant referee after Tottenham's goal.
