naaa i think chelsea's defeat to spurs will make them stronger

unless avant grant is like every couch who does not understand a simple rule in soccer

DONT DEFEND A 1 GOAL LEAD cause it will bit you one day

if i was a couch i would rather lose 2-1 knowning i went for the win than lose 2-1 knowing i defend a 1-0 lead :)

also roman abrom is a stupid owner

in order to boost profits u need sales of chelsea items

boring chelsea gets no new fans no big sales

united and arsenal play beautiful football which helps generates millions

chelsea is boring but maybe avant grant will change it now

Chelsea has the most support of ANY UK CLUB in terms of AFRICAN supporters - boring football seems to attract many in Africa eh :P

how many can afford a 500 rand shirt?

thats not their market man

they need to be like united and arsenal who have ppl in every country buying their kuk not the poor countries either
 
I dont agree, I dont like thinking its all just about cashflow - sadly I know that often that is the truth - clubs with smaller budgets find it harder to compete.

However that being said even if they dont buy tv's/merchandise etc their countries still buy tv rights which generates $$$

Arsenal striker Eduardo da Silva has been released from hospital following the horrific injury he suffered at Birmingham City's St Andrews stadium on Saturday.

"The club can confirm that Eduardo has now been released from hospital, where he had been since sustaining his injury," an Arsenal statement said. "Eduardo would like to once again thank everyone for the overwhelming messages of support he has received."

Gerrard vents frustration

Steven Gerrard has delivered a scathing assessment of Liverpool's faltering campaign by declaring even winning the Champions League will not make up for the dismal performance in the Premier League.

The Liverpool skipper accepts that only fourth place now is acceptable as they battle to secure entry into Europe's elite competition next term.

But he said: "You don't get any prizes in football for finishing in second place, never mind fourth.

"I don't think that the fans would accept fourth as an accomplishment and for me it's not nearly good enough.

"We need to improve dramatically and even if we do finish fourth, it doesn't mean we have had a good season."

Yeah, that's great news, but how long till he can play again I wonder? Did they say anything about his prospects? I guess it's about how well it heals...
