No way. He is a scoring midfielder. He plays out wide. He is not a striker.
 
I am not lying. Every week after CL rounds, Skysports has a team of the week on their site, 4-4-2, they had Drogba and Ronaldo as strikers.

He was the only Man U player on the team though.

And they had the idiot from Schalke as the keeper...

Either was, I still rate Lamps as the best midfielder, purely from scoring goals and creating and defending combined.

Well they are cheating then. He is a midfielder.

I would rather have him than Fat Frank or Stevie G, purely for the fact that they have become one with their current clubs and could never don a United shirt ;)
 
Fat Frank couldn't even tie Gerrard's shoelaces. He's excellent at feeding off scraps and chances created by the world class players around him. Take that away and you've got his England performances :o. Not great at all. I'd rather have Ballack than Fat Frank actually. Much more complete fooballer. As for Scholes he's much the same. More dynamic and creative than Lamps but still nothing on Gerrard.

My humble opinion obviously :D
 
scholes is over the hill though

funny thing against portsmith he started

i cannot remember a hard game that scholes has played in that united have done well

i dont want to be funny to scholes but he needs to move, he may have been great but his time has come

there are to many good okes who should not be left out

hargreaves anderson carrick, let scholes go i say or put in against weak opposition considering he aint exactly on form yet

dont put in games u need to win

fabregas is totally off form if you ask me

i think they put to much pressure on the guy, if he does not perform the whole team lose their way

its sad that one midfielder like fabregas must dictate every game he plays

they need more creativity from other plays in the midfield

Wouldn't say he was the best defender but he is great in his position. Creates all kinds of attacking options for us when he is on. Without him, we definitely lack something.
 
Id put Sagna in before Clichy :) although a difficult one.. Its his first season in the premier league and hes been outstanding, hasnt made a single mistake thus far and only missed 1 game due to the loss of his brother, but still came back a few days later and was rock solid... tho Clichy is still one of my fav players, also so consistent..

And id put Adebayor in long before Rooney :) if you compare their form over the season Ade has definately come up on top..

Agreed with the rest tho..
