Mourinho: I want to kill Chelsea

Jose Mourinho has expressed his wish to return to Stamford Bridge in next season's Champions League and "kill" Chelsea with a leading Spanish or Italian club. The most successful manager in Chelsea's history also had warm words yesterday for his former employers, but admitted that he had formed no relationship with Avram Grant during more than two months together at the club. "I don't know the person," he said. "I feel nothing for him but I feel everything for the club... But I hope to play them next season in the Champions League and I want to go there and kill them." (Jeremy Wilson, Daily Telegraph)

Blatter demands action on tackles

Fifa president Sepp Blatter has called for lifetime bans and criminal prosecutions for players guilty of making dangerous tackles.

He has demanded a "zero tolerance" policy ahead of the International Board's weekend meeting at Gleneagles.

Blatter told The Times: "Dangerous tackling is one of the most important issues in football at the moment.

"Therefore players who do this kind of thing intentionally should be banned from the game."

i fully agree with him

some of challenges i have seen of late have been really bad

this 2 footed tackle that does not land goes unnoticed, its only noticed when the 2 feet land and do damage

to many tackles these days have studs showing

but its kinda like diving, you let it happen and do nothing about and pretty soon you cannot do anything about it

the only way to stamp out bad tackles is to flag them and ban the offending player if the tackle was deemed to be harmful

then the whole prem league will be down to reserves hahaha

imagine banning for diving and dangerous tackles

If it is intentional the yes. Otherwise no.

Sort out diving first. It's far more prevalent

Nothing makes you wanna stick your foot in than a fairy falling over as soon as you get near

EDIT: That sounds wrong :D
