Is there anybody here who actually rates Dirk Kuyt? He was his usual self against Manure. Awful :(

He was playing out of position.

LOL considering the ref blew practically everything their way I'm not surprised they didn't. Patience, wait until Manure get a dodgy decision ;)

So then how did liverpool get so many freekicks just before ronaldo scored ?

Only rafa.

Seems so :(

You got to be f'kin kidding me ?

And he still hasn't stopped yapping

Oh and to finish off this whole Mascherano incident. He should have been sent off when he swore at the ref and not later for asking a question. Asking a question does not qualify as a 'foul' of any sort. Whether he'd sworn at the ref before or not. Perhaps in the future they can include a rule that only the captain can ask questions but as it stands he was sent off for doing nothing wrong. Regardless if it was stupid and reckless behavior on his part

No, he was sent off for two yellow cards. One for a late tackle and one for dissent. Nothing controversial about it.

alan do you know what he said because quite honestly i didnt hear what he said

i could see what he was saying for 40 minutes but never saw what he said to get that yellow card

your taking the word of a madman acting all innocent

im not sure what you mean by the ref blew everything up in united favour

alan u need to learn when to accept that mach was stupid and liverpool where their normal self and not blame the whole thing on the ref's

2 worried about losing when they needed to win

dirk kuyt needs to play striker, why rafa plays him anywhere else is beyond me

its kinda sad because he scored loads of goals for his club in holland (the name escapes me)

o alan did you see ferdinand got a yellow for kicking the ball away, had he been on a yellow he would have been red carded so stop with this whole mach is innocent rubbish

i can assure you had rio been on yellow he would not have been stupid enough to kick the ball away

At Feyenoord, Kuyt immediately became a fan's favourite with his continued goal scoring success. His first season saw him net another 20 league goals. The opening game of the 2004–05 season marked Kuyt's first ever hat-trick against De Graafschap. He later went on to score three in the 6–3 victory against ADO Den Haag and ended the season as the Eredivisie's top scorer with 29 goals — a career high.

In summer 2005 Kuyt was linked with moves to Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool, but no transfer materialised. Kuyt was instead handed the Feyenoord club captaincy and went on to have a third successful season with the club, scoring 25 goals in all competitions.

i dunno he scored alot of goals

i dunno he scored alot of goals

So did Mateja Kezman IIRC.

Then again Van Nistlerooy scored plenty as well :D

In Kuyt's defence he doesn't play as an out and out striker. He does as much tracking and pressing as the DM

To be honest, as a pool fan, i have no problem with the 2 yellows;
for a professional player to have run across the field to show dissent (in any form), when he is already on a yellow card is just stupid. And I think we can safely assume that this was not the first bit of dissent. This coming from a player who plays internationally and in a top league?

My problems:
a) Dissent has always been a yellow card offence; did the FA publicise the fact that they were going to start cracking down on it as strongly as it appears the ref did?
b) Where was Gerrard? As captain i thought he was a bit slow to react to the Torres/Masch incident.

a) it was a big issue since Wednesday.
b) He was very very slow. I thought Alonso was the captain for a moment.

You have NO IDEA how relieved i am about that!!Obe martins is awesome!:D:D
The last game we won was against fulham so it was only fair we got back to winning ways by beating them again!

QFT!!! :D

Hope that win will give the lads enough confidence to drill Spurs!

I hope the Toons will have a resurgance after their win. I like the team, some good players, always enjoy watching Alan Smith making tackles and acting innocent afterwards...

You have to feel for the side - there is obviously some direction required... and yeah, players need to know their place - they should be given the boot for that kind of conduct... the outcome effectively nullified Liverpool's chances in the second half of ever coming back... there was a time when I thought they could equalise... remember, the whole game can change when you're under pressure to attack for the extra points.
