What absolute rubbish.

Are you seriously going to contest that they were going to lose Stamford bridge and disolve? - seriously?

During the 1980s and early 90s, most Chelsea fans will remember a time when the freehold of Stamford Bridge was not owned by the club, and there was the continual threat from property developers to evict Chelsea FC from our ancestral home. - chelseafc.com

No I am contesting that the Chelsea situation is anything like Manchester United history.

Sigh at people who dont even know their own club history - im a Chelsea fan and I could probably tell you more about how your club was founded than you could me. Sad.

J

Wikipedia-ing a clubs history doesnt mean you actually "know" the clubs history....

Newcastle almost lost the fantastic pie machine in the lobby at St james park.Freddy sheppard stepped in and saved the day.

Have any of you even gone to england to watch your team?

Considering I knew they were NH FC and when they were founded before I pasted that Wiki for others makes your point a stupid one since I already knew what the hell I was referring too but the often link or quote wanted by forumites made me paste that.

Nope jimmy started in 2000, this resolved in the early/mid 90's.

So used to it after many years of forums and emails etc, My name is Jerome hence the J and my friends refer to me as jman so it kind of just became a signature thing a way of signing off I guess - in short old habits die hard.

I started supporting United in 1993. What you are saying might bear some resemblance to the truth. You just cannot compare it at all to Newton Heath in the 1900s.

Nope, it was the EPL. The commentator even mentioned it during sunday's game

I remember watching it in a pub somewhere, mustv been a game of some importance since I dont really watch the big four play that often.Although i was glued to the TV on super sunday:cool:

Doesnt really matter how long you have been supporting a club,it boils down to how much you know about your club.I know a 12year old who is in love with arsenal and EPL and will own most of us on the forum with his knowledge of the gunners etc.

No it doesn't. I have no respect for a johnny-come-lately supporter who has jumped on the glory bandwagon of Chelsea or United, or even Arsenal and started supporting them in the last few years just because 'they always win stuff'.

I also hate bandwagons supporters, was the worst when Liverpool beat AC in the 2005 final,Im a hardcore AC fan and suddenly everyone was liverpool this liverpool that..

But fans need to start somewhere...Aslong as they have knowledge of their team and the league history then i dont mind,i just hate mindless trolls who support Man then Ars then Chelski etc..Newcastle need more SA supporters dammit,im feeling alone on this forum!:(
