I hoped Everton would play their hearts out, but wasnt the case. BTW did you watch the match ? 2nd half was all Everton but people like Gravesen should retire, i cant believe this guy played at RM. He was pathetic, passing the ball more to Chelsea than his own.

also everton are playing so poorly at the moment to sit and watch a poor everton play a boring chelsea is not my cuppie tea

Everton really do miss Arteta, what a pity.
 
lets be honest catch, liverpool deserve 4th alot more than everton

purely because everton would more than likely be eliminated in the first round because lets be honest, everton are not a champions league side

let them play in the smaller comp where they have a much better chance

If Everton make it to CL, they will generate more funds to invest in better players. Thats how clubs become successful, so i dont agree that Everton are not CL worthy, they do have potential. Thats why they are sitting on 5th even though their last few games were poor.
 
i dunno i just feel there are alot of clubs this season who have underperformed

i mean tottenham have had a shocker, bolton are going down, newcastle have had a shocker, portsmith have gone off the boil big time, westham started well dont know what happened, aston villa i have no idea what happened to them

so i think everton's position is partly because of the poor football by the teams below them

i think next season you will see a revived tot, newcastle i feel will start strongly so everton may have finished 5th this season but i dont think that means they are champions league quality

i do however see your point that more money would generate bigger players who would come to everton but remember the lower comp also generates money and should generate enough to buy a few decent players

catch what would generate more money do you think

1. being knocked out the champs league in the first group stages
2. being knocked out the lower champs league (forget the name) in say the semi finals

I dunno about that. Liverpool forgo challenging for the league every year in order to play well in the CL. At least Everton try their best in the Prem.
Maybe Pool need to be taught a lesson by finishing 5th and not qualifying for their beloved CL.
