Seriously - I'd expect more from him... it's the same misfortune against other teams like Arsenal that gave Manchester the lead in the first place... He needs to learn that it's swings and roundabouts. Having said that, yeah, I sometimes have my own doubts on the reffing - esp. this season, but they missed chances and could have been 2-0 down.

its poor by arsenal for having a small squad, no misfortune in it

it would be misfortune if arsenal had a big squad and had poor form but having a small squad aint misfortune

look i think the ref handled things just fine and honestly chelsea deserved the win

arsenal however i dont want to get into as there is no point

i predicted a win based on a full strength united team.

Teams field weaker players on the day when they know the match does not count for much. As for united, we could have sealed the title.

So Rooney got injured, now what ? we dont have any striker replacements, but play Ronaldo, and if he got injured ( he never gets injured ) we have midfield replacements.

Again you show lack of knowledge when you say the team with get tired.
They can easily play 3 big games in 7 days, they are ready for it.

yeah but the reason people critisize one mistake is cos that mistake can cause a lot of trouble,no doubt in my mind carvalho is one of the best defenders out there,but he should've known better,i wanted ashley cole to be taken off most of the game,but he ended up clearing off the line so it's a give and take situation,and carvalho did try hard to make up for it

I also noticed that since Sheva can't score, he has taken to clearing balls off the goal line.

I thought it was a very good game, stayed clean until Man U were really losing, when Rio turned into a typical Arsenal loser and started fighting.

Good 1 Chelsea, but I still think Man U will take the season.

But Barca will now be double tough...

Not all, but at least two or three... sometimes it was bordering on match fixing if you watched closely.

Agreed, there was 1 or 2 bad decisions in every game from Birm till Bolton that changed the outcome of the game.. Probably not match fixing, or on purpose, just really pathetic reffing.. really dont know why the old fools at fifa wont embrace technology

In a tough league like the premiership chances dont come easily, and there was something in almost 6 games in a row.. Arsenals champions league run was ended by bad reffing...

Its unlucky!

You always too confident of united taking the title. Since the Middlesborough game you had too high expectations and since you predict crazy scores. It was evident from then, things were going downhill.

Sir Alex Ferguson rounded on referee Alan Wiley after his team's title charge was derailed at Stamford Bridge.

The Manchester United manager was furious that a penalty was awarded against Michael Carrick with four minutes remaining.

Michael Ballack kept his cool to score his second goal of the game from the spot and put Chelsea level on points.

Wayne Rooney seemed to have secured a point after he cancelled out the opener from the German midfielder.

But Ballack had the final word, leaving Ferguson questioning whether Chelsea should have ever been given the penalty.

"It was absolutely diabolical, " he told MUTV. "It is a major decision.

"Granted, it hit his hand. But he has not lifted his hand above his shoulders, above his head, anything like that.

"It is going straight to Rio Ferdinand. The referee should have seen that rather than the linesman.

"If we're not going to get those decisions then we are under pressure."

Ferguson believes his team have not been getting the rub of the green from officials.

He said: "If we're not getting the decisions we deserve then we're going to have to perform really well.

"In the context of today, when (Cristiano) Ronaldo comes on, in the first minute he's grappled to the floor by Ballack.

"It was a clear penalty kick but no penalty was given."

Ferguson was also upset by a challenge by Didier Drogba on Nemanja Vidic, which saw the defender come off after 14 minutes.

The Serbian needed stitches and lost a tooth.

"He got kneed in the face by Drogba - no foul given, " said the Old Trafford boss. "He was dazed rather than concussed."

Ferguson maintains United are still in the driving seat - given their superior goal difference - with two games remaining.

United face West Ham next Saturday before Chelsea travel to Newcastle two days later.

It could even come down to the last game.

United go to Wigan on May 11 while Chelsea face Bolton.

Ferguson said: "It's still in our hands. The players and the support are really fired up for the next game. Hopefully we can get the result we want.

"In fairness, Chelsea were the better team in the first half.

"Sometimes, coming out of a European game, it takes a while to get it right. Unfortunately, it didn't happen for us."

Ferguson expects Wayne Rooney to be fit for the Champions League semi-final against Barcelona next Tuesday after he took a bang on the hip.

With the teams locked at 0-0 after the first leg at the Nou Camp in midweek, Ferguson added: "We are one step away from Moscow. Hopefully we can do it.

Manchester United assistant Carlos Queiroz launched into an astonishing rant after his side were beaten 2-1 by Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea were awarded a late penalty - which Michael Ballack scored - to take the win and put them level with United at the top of the Premier League.

However, Queiroz felt that United deserved a spot kick of their own. He told the BBC:

"How can the referee not see that Ballack has jumped on Ronaldo?

"It must be necessary for a player to bring a gun and shoot one of our men in the box for us to get a penalty."

"The referee was five metres away from both penalty incidents but he gives only one penalty."

The Portuguese assistant went on to suggest that United season could be unravelling due to a long list of perceived refereeing injustices. He continued:

"It is a hard to say what is going on with this game. I have to talk about some of the decisions in the last few weeks that have damaged this football club.

"We are not in the FA Cup final because of a bad decision when we should have had a penalty against Portsmouth.

"Against Barcelona in the Champions League on Wednesday, there should have been three penalties but only one was given.

"Something is wrong with football."

Queiroz concluded his ravings by optimistically claiming the defeat had not harmed United's title bid:

"We have a job to do at this club and we have to win our next few games," he stated.

"It is important to support the players because after 90 minutes of effort and commitment, we want them to feel it is a fair game for them.

"The defeat by Chelsea has not caused any damage for us. We will concentrate and do our job and stay committed."

Rio Ferdinand is planning to send a bouquet of flowers to the Chelsea steward he kicked by accident.

The Manchester United defender apologised to her after the incident at the end of the 2-1 defeat by Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

In a statement, released to PA Sport through the club, Ferdinand said: "I kicked the wall in frustration at the result as I have done in the past.

"Unfortunately a lady was stood by and I accidentally brushed her with my foot.

"I went back to make sure she was okay and apologised profusely.

"Credit to her she laughed it off and was very understanding.

"She said she wasn't hurt. I have arranged for a bouquet of flowers to be sent to her."
