In case you did not receive an email from MyADSL, here is a friendly reminder about this year’s broadband survey:

In this year’s survey we give you the chance to tell your broadband provider and ISP what they do well, what they do poorly and where they should improve. This is in addition to the standard speed tests and feedback on how your service has performed over the last year.

It will be great if you can complete the short broadband survey…it will not take much more than 10 minutes.

i have multi isp's to somehow guarantee uptime :P

sorry if this sounds stupid but what sort of info can we get out of this and where can we get it
does or has this changed anything in SA
:)

Just a note, I didn't get the email. Voted now however.
Must be your spam filter...thanks for completing it!

We will publish a report with all the findings which will be available free of charge.

Regarding change: most operators contact us to see how they can improve, and this year's feedback should be of great value to them.

iBurst speedtest broken

I've submitted the survey, but couldn't do the iBurst speed test, because Windows (XP SP2) wouldn't allow me to load the activeX control, because the ActiveX control wasn't digitally signed... I entered 0 and 0

The survey doesn't take into account the increasingly common practice of multiple broadband access routes (e.g. I have adsl at my home office and 3g for my laptop via VPN) and multiple ISP accounts for different reasons (local/international, SAIX/IS, prepaid/contract etc).

Completing a seperate survey for each service is a) a pain in the butt and b) doesn't reveal the extent to which people are using more than one means of broadband access.

Maybe needs a re-design?

Regards, Ken
