I thought England deserved to win in the end, or perhaps a tie seeing as how close the game really was.

Yeah, just like we deserved a tie against Sri Lanka. Ummm, no.

I'm not sure why we spend so much time discussing how SA must avoid 4th place, or how important the NRR will be for qualifying for the semis. We're the number 1 team in the world in (notwithstanding hiccup against Aus) and we should damn well start believing in ourselves if we actually want to win this thing.

We should be winning all remaining Super 8 games, which means we finish 1st or 2nd, depending how Aus does. Nrr is irrelevant.

You've gotta read this: Caribbeans depressed by Cricket World Cup

"Georgetown, Guyana - It should have put the calypso back in Caribbean cricket, celebrating the sport by bringing the game's biggest one-day tournament to countries that know how to throw a party.

Instead, they're depressed from Jamaica to Guyana and from Antigua to St. Kitts. They're fed up with everything from big business interests squashing the spontaneous fun to the lousy performances of the West Indies team and to the mysterious death of Pakistan's English coach Bob Woolmer hours after his team was eliminated in the qualifying round."

hehe... more than half the WI team are on holiday!

I say SA will lose to one of them, WI or Eng.
I seriously doubt it. England man for man has a worse side than SA, and the West Indies have too many problems on and off the field.

Mmm Pakistan "man for man" over Bangladesh???
And Windies you never know.

NZ will be the game to watch. I wanna see the Nz, Aus, SL and Sa matches facing each other.. Only one so far so next week should be interesting.
