Our Nett Run Rate might come bite us in the ass - we just better win everything from here on to the end.

3rd place would be better for SA so as to avoid a semi-final with Oz.

More suspect Sri lankan play I think.

Eng can beat SA on their day, NZ might be a bit more difficult, Bangladesh can just make something out of nothing, and then theres the ailing Windies!!

SA hasnt had a convincing win yet, they look a bit shaky.

on the Sri Lanka game: Sri Lanka didn't look too hot last night - I think the Brits kind of lost the game during the slow overs between 15 and 25. Sri Lanka bowled well, but they didn't look as sharp as they did vs SA. What a close game in the end, and I think Sri Lanka not being able to break that 7th wicket stand shows that against good opposition Sri Lanka will probably fail.

If SA beat Bangladesh and the West Indies with good Nett Run Rate and keep a good rate going against England and New Zealand, we could push Sri Lanka to fourth on the points standings, then Sri Lanka will be eliminated in the semis by Australia. Which leaves us to kick NZ ass. Now if only England can beat the Aussies then we have a wide open table :)

As long as we're not 4th when the Ozzies are 1st on the table:

April, Tue 24 1st Semi Final 2 v 3 Sabina Park, Jamaica
April, Wed 25 2nd Semi Final 1 v 4 Beausejour Stadium, St Lucia

I think they had it under control esp when they took Pieterson and Bell, but the other partnership could have lost them but they knew what they were doing... I think. Maybe.

I think SA might find the WIndies a tougher side than what their figures show.
New Zealnd is a huge threat to SA in this competition!! ANd if anyone can beat the Aussies its them.

New Zealand are up there for sure. I think a lot hinges on how SA play them in the Super Eights. If SA don't beat England, then they'll be under pressure against NZ, and inevitably that's when NZ really thrives...

With Windies in-house fighting and 'island' style cricket that they play, they got no chance of winning. Together with England, they also down and out.

I think Polly will come good in the 2nd half of the comp. (which is now actually)
Smithy has peaked already in terms of runs.
Kallis will be there and there abouts.
Gibbs, well who nose what he will do, cause i dont.
AB will get more ducks and more hundreds (nothing in between... lol)

Lol Windies are at home, they can pull of something and save face.
England is a good team and like I said before Pieterson has/wants to prove something to SA.
Polly - not in this competition.
Smith, maybe peaked to early but hes doing well, missed 5 consecutive 50s.
Gibbs is a threat.
Ab has no 100's.

I wonder if any team incl aussies will be brave.. no cocky enough to loose a game on purpose in the hopes of their own choice of opposition in the semi's? could go very very wrong if its not the last game.

I dont think the Aussie team is the kind of team that'll throw a match to have it easy further on but what do I know...we dont see what happens behind the scenes so we cant say.

Nah they wont, they on a 23 world cup win streak, why give that up?

23!

SA better do something against them in the semis and not draw!
cos we know what happened last time :(

Yip that was their last "loss" if you want to call it that, since then theyve won every game.

Apparently it was.

I thought England deserved to win in the end, or perhaps a tie seeing as how close the game really was.
