the bermuda game is a joke. Can't believe they let them into the WC. 500 looks like a possibility considering the opposition and the size of the ground. Only thing stopping SL is the pitch but the way Bermuda is bowling, I won't be surprised if SL make it.

kenya yesterday was awesome.. it looked like they killed canada yesterday :P
Today's game I think will go to ireland tho.

wow zimbabwe is looking better than i thought who knows maybe 3 african teams in the super 8's with a bit of luck :)

Uhm Sri Lanka 321/6 (50 ov), Bermuda 78 (24.4 ov)... Sri Lanka won by 243 runs !
Now i'm supprissed no-one has cracked 400 yet but ok, maybe Proteas will do it tomorrow :)

OMG! that zim vs Ireland game was down to the wire  3rd tie ever in world cup(previous 2 by SA nogal :p) wow.. zim basically kept throwing them a bone and ireland kept dropping/missing them.
btw irish supporters rock tho :D

I hope we do well today. We didn't do well against Ireland n warmup. We must win convincingly.

Derekc, i wouldnt be too concerned, a win is a win. Take each game as it comes not matter if its a win by 200 runs or by 1 run.

A win against holland is a must, however convincing or not doesn't matter.

I personally want SA to give them a very good whipping today. I want them to get 400+ if they bat first. :):)

It would certainly be the right time to do it. I'm hoping our batsmen get some good time at the crease, and make the most of it. Our bowlers are in the zone, pretty much - it's the batting that worries me.

SA are screwed!

The ICC has already decided to screw us with the scheduling for the Super 8s. Never mind if we beat Aus or not, they've decided that SA will be A2, and have to play India, Sri Lanka and Pakistan on the spin friendly pitch in Guyana. Read a full explanation here (in Afrikaans though).

From the ICC website (the page this was on has since disappeared. I smell a conspiracy):
“Team names for the Super Eight stage are indicative based on the top two teams from the Group Stage qualifying. If these two teams do qualify they will be seeded in position 1 or 2 as specified regardless of whether they finish first or second in their group. For example, if South Africa wins Group A and Australia comes second, for the purposes of the Super Eights, South Africa will still be A2 and Australia will be A1.“

Thats crap but SA are in the zone and the Super 8s is gonna be the time that we perform well under pressure and finally kill that label of "chokers". So doesn't really matter what cards we've been dealt for Super 8s, we gotta get over it and raise our game.
