2008 US Masters

Not watching but following.
South African in the lead.:)

South African Trevor Immelman, finding his form after recovering from health problems last year, birdied the last two holes for a 68 to grab a one-shot lead in Friday's second round of the US Masters.

Immelman, overnight co-leader with Briton Justin Rose, matched his first-round score by posting three birdies on the back nine to reach eight-under-par 136 as he got hot with his putter on a warm, breezy day at Augusta National.

As long as Woods doesnt win i dont mind but i would really like to see immelmen get a green blazer

Nice comeback by Tiger!

Current Leaderboard:

Trevor Immelman -10
Paul Casey - 8
Steve Flesch -7
Brandt Snedeker -7
Tiger Woods -5

Phil Mickelson playing like an idiot tonight.. Damn he could have been at least 8 under but he struggled with bogeys at the 6th, 8th, 10th and 12th.

It would be interesting to see how the last round unfolds. :)

1 T. Immelman -11 F -3 68 68 69 :)
2 B. Snedeker -9 F -2 69 68 70
3 S. Flesch -8 F -3 72 67 69
4 P. Casey -7 F -3 71 69 69
5 T. Woods -5 F -4 72 71 68

After round 3

Some good golf by Immelman, however, I don't think that he'll be able to maintain his lead in the final round tonight. The pressure would be too great for him to handle. My money is on either Brandt Snedeker or Tiger Woods to pull this one off. :)

Yeah, didn't think Retief could win the US Open, but he did.
Hope Trevor does.

Final Result:

Tiger could have easily forced a playoff tonight if he had only made those crucial birdie putts. He missed about 3 golden opportunities and could really have put pressure on Immelman those last few holes. Sadly, he made an even 72 stroke par today giving Immelman the edge. :(

What's the prob? great to see a S.African win this...:)

If Tiger could have sank those birdie putts, he would have put tremendous pressure on Immelman, probably causing him to lose concentration and lose a few shots. I really wanted Tiger to claim his 5th Green Jacket this year.
