Okay, we getting close now - not quite down to the wire but less than a week to go. I have not been back to Loftus since the smoking ban (not because of that though - its merely coincidental) so that counts against me.

Normally, 10 a day except match days. Then a whole packet can come and go. I am constantly at my wits end. The only exception was the S14 final where, by 40 mins in, we had it in the bag. I was told to return to my seat and behave or face being thrown out by some new security lady. I told her to go to hell, of course, and her boss agreed with me (we never once broke the barrier so to speak). That day I only smoked 15.

This weekend I get to smoke none. Not a single one! And, to compound the stress, my wife will be joining me in the stands and she gets more worked up than I do. Look out for the mad man in blue with KISS-style make-up and the hot chick. That'll be me - not smoking.

This is the primary reason behind my call for a 20+ points difference. It'll mean I can rely less on my nicotine crutch. Please Morné - for the sake of my lungs - just do it in the first half...

What time will the final be? Need to work out if it will be possible to watch while I'm here in Melbourne.

It is man! I saw some guy advertising 2 x Box Tickets for R 1000. If I didn't have plans already I would have bought them.

R1k ea or for both? Seems a good price actually. The hospitality tickets (catering in a tent outside Kings park) that I used last year were R1300 from Warwick hospitality so R1K is a decent price...

If I had a job and money I would consider them but alas....all I got is my tickets for the east stand.

My prediction me mateys? 52 - 13 to the BLUE BULLS. No, seriously. It's gonna be as easy to win, if not easier, than the Super14 this year.

Yes, well done Bulls. They deserved the win.

But why should I be disappointed?

My team made me proud. So many teams would have given up when down 24-0. But they stuck to their original, exciting, running and attacking style of play that got them into the final.
Some very stupid mistakes and bad discipline cost us more chances to score.
I am sure a lot of Bull supporters were biting their nails when it was 30-24.

Well done Cheetahs and well done Bulls. You played a great final!

You should not be dissapointed because they lost.

You right though about having us Bulls supporters (me) biting my nails. The Cheetahs are an 80 minute team & they have proved it many times. What I love most about them is the way they can take a ball from their line & RUN it to the other side of the field. Other teams would have given up but only the Cheetahs would make such a comeback.

Now, lets hope Cheetahs & WP can carry on this form right into the next S14.

Good Luck

+1 ... It would be huge if the South African teams can hog the top half of the log. :)

Yeah, even though I am a Bulls supporter, I want ALL the SA teams to step it up a bit & show Aus & NZ we not only a great Springbok team & that our talent runs much deeper.

still.so.long.before.Super14 :(

February is not too far man.

Do you think Brussouw would leave the Cheetahs? I always imagined he would be as loyal as Juan Smith. We will have to wait & see. He would look GREAT in a Bulls jersey.
Even though Mccaw "invented" fetching, Brussouw has perfected it & he is a master at what he does. He gets my vote for IRB Player of the year.
