in terms of S14 it is ages away! :(

Comon, give the poor guys a break. :D Even though some of them look like machines (Spies, Brussouw etc etc) they still human & the past year has been hectic for them. Not too mention the international games they are going to play, before the S14.

I would LOVE them to play all year round but this break is well deserved.

So, now there is an email going around with an attached Word Document entitled:
"The question is did the Bulls really win the Currie Cup?"

Oh for ***** sakes let it go. The Bulls won and the Cheetahs fought back hard but were never realistically going to win from being 24-0 down.

This Word document shows all the "incidents" during the game that the ref called wrong according to the author. BUT, the document is one-sided and only shows "incidents" in which the Cheetahs were affected. I can make an equally long document showing the opposite.

I wish I can upload this document so you can have a look at it. But I am sure you will get it in your Inbox eventually.

All of the incidents in this document are calls that could have gone to either side. They were all marginal, 50/50 calls. Forward passes, ruck infringements, player in the air etc. They went to the Bulls and other calls(not shown in document) went to the Cheetahs.
That is the reality of the game. If you can get past that you will enjoy rugby even more.

I thought Kaplan had a good game and he was consistent.

Only three incidents bothered me slightly of which none are in the document. And all of which would have had no influence on the outcome of the game.

1. Jacques-Louis Potgieter knee on Bulls player. How did Pro Legoete make that call?

2. Potgieter shoving Brussow in the face. Kaplan made 2 consistent calls before that(one for each team) why not make it again. (I will admit he might not have seen it if he was behind other players). But Pro Legoete should have seen this if he could see JLP putting a knee on other players.
Brussow did take a bit of a UEFA dive there :D

3. Frans Viljoen completely off-side at a Bulls ruck. Again, Kaplan was consistent with all off-side calls, don't know how he missed this one. Guess he is just human but why no call from the assistant referee? It was right in front of him.

I will say it again. The Bulls deserved to win and in the end did so easily.

Getting stuff like this in my Inbox actually makes me ashamed of being a Cheetahs supporter.

APOC,

Don't let it bother you. If the Cheetahs were the better team, why didn't they win the S14 or come in the top few teams?

And thats why you have my resepect :D

Blaming the ref is the easy way out.

Note: In that document he lies twice. Blatantly.
