2010/2011 Transfer Thread

Juve still needs to replace Cannavaro...

Juve Brought: Marco Storari (GK) from AC Milan
Juve Loan: Simone Pepe from Udinese with right to buy him for 7.5 mill Euro... Pepe will be good for Juve after his performance in this WC
Juve also interested in: Krasic

Juve Sold: Cristian Molinaro to VFB Stuttgart

Krasic is unlikely. The talks broke down over the price, juve are close to signing martinez from catania instead.

I'm sure it could only be wages - wasn't he on a free this year?

The player has agreed wages with juve. The issue is the fee cska wants opposed to what juve is willing to pay. Juve offered €12 million but cska wants €15 million. So the latest is they will sign martinez for €12 million unless there is a last minute change.

Juve really need a good season this year... They didn't even make the Europa League that is why they have gotten busy. They need to pull in some youngsters, cant count on the old folk anymore.

Oh my
Fabiano wants United move
Sevilla star rules out summer switch to Tottenham
Brazil striker Luis Fabiano has issued a come-and-get-me plea to Manchester United after ruling out a move to Tottenham.

The Sevilla star does not want to sign a new contract with the Spanish club and he is a target of AC Milan.

Fabiano, who scored twice against Ivory Coast in the group stages of the World Cup, is attracted by Milan, but he is also keen on a move to United, where he would be able to play alongside Wayne Rooney.

Sevilla have said they will not sell the 29-year-old, however, he is desperate to secure a move that will give him a chance to win the UEFA Champions League.

Fabiano told the Daily Star Sunday: "I have a real chance of winning a World Cup here in South Africa, and that is what I must stay focused on even though I know my future has to be sorted soon.

"I have made it clear that I will not be signing a new contract with Sevilla and at 29 I now need to join a club where I can start challenging for the highest honours from the first season.

"I have heard Tottenham Hotspur made an inquiry about me but, with all respect, that is not somewhere I am going to be able to win the Premier League or the European Cup in the next three or four years.

Giant

"There would be no point in me joining Tottenham. I might as well stay at Sevilla, as it's the same thing. Sevilla are actually bigger when you look at how much we have been in the European Cup, so there would be no point me moving to a smaller team.

"The choice will come down to Manchester United and AC Milan. That is the sort of team I want to be signing for, one of the true giants of Europe.

"I think the way Manchester United play football is very attractive, I must be honest and say Premier League football attracts me and also the way Manchester United play football attracts me.

"You think about being Wayne Rooney's strike partner and that is very attractive for any striker.

"I think the style of Premier League football suits me and I think I could score goals and be very successful there.

"Their coach is a winner, their players are winners and they are one of the few teams in Europe challenging for the top honours season after season.

"As soon as the World Cup is over I will make a quick decision on my future - and while it is going on I hope Sevilla can open discussions. I have enjoyed my time here but I now need to be at a giant."

Bye Bye YaYa

Barcelona have confirmed that Yaya Toure will follow Thierry Henry by departing the Spanish champions this summer with Manchester City his likely destination after the Blaugrana accepted a bid from the Citizens.

Real swoop for Di Maria
Spanish giants splash the cash on young Argentine

Real Madrid have confirmed they have completed the signing of Benfica winger Angel di Maria.

The 22-year-old has signed a six-year contract at the Bernabeu and moves for a reported fee of €25million (£20.3million).

Di Maria had been linked to a number of top European clubs after catching the eye for Portuguese outfit Benfica in the Europa League last season.

But Los Merengues have snapped him up and he becomes new manager Jose Mourinho's first signing since taking charge in the Spanish capital.

A statement on the club's official website said: "Real Madrid and Benfica have reached an agreement for the transfer of Angel di Maria.

"The player will sign a six-year contract with Real Madrid."

Di Maria is currently playing in the World Cup with Argentina, who have reached the quarter-finals of the competition.

The exciting flair player switched to Benfica in 2007 after moving from hometown club Rosario Central.

He is expected to be the first of a number of signings for Real this summer as Mourinho looks to make his mark on the team.

any news on what Milan is doing? Just a summary from anyone who follows the Italian news... *nudge nudge wink wink*

They signed yepes on a free from chievo and appointed alegri as the new manager. They sold storari to juve and bought amelia from palermo.

Else then that they haven't done much. Linked to luis fabiano but the price is a big issue.

Juve really need a good season this year... They didn't even make the Europa League that is why they have gotten busy. They need to pull in some youngsters, cant count on the old folk anymore.

They need their side in place in time for europa league qualifiers, that's why they have been rushing.

Chelsea have confirmed the signing of Yossi Benayoun on a three-year contract from Liverpool.

The Israel international has spent the past three years at Anfield, having previously spent time with West Ham.

He is a proven Premier League performer who possesses the skill to unlock defences, although he was not always a regular starter with the Reds.

Benayoun admitted towards the end of last season that his future was far from certain and speculation has steadily been mounting over a move to Stamford Bridge.

The Blues have now snapped up the 30-year-old for an undisclosed amount believed to be in the region of £5million.

Manager Carlo Ancelotti is thrilled to have bolstered his attacking options with the acquisition of the versatile Benayoun, having allowed playmaker Joe Cole and midfielder Michael Ballack to leave at the end of their contracts.

"We are happy to have this new player," Ancelotti told Chelsea's official website.

"Yossi has a lot of quality in midfield and can play in lots of positions. I like his behaviour on the pitch and he will do a great job for us next season."

Benayoun also expressed his delight at finalising the move and set his sights on a productive spell with the club.

"I am very excited to come to a club like Chelsea, it is a big club and I think it is a dream for every player," he said.

"Hopefully we will be successful."
