2010/2011 Transfer Thread

Ye but diffence is 1 year with no CL football is like a year wasted

Calculated risk... and let's face it, he's 24 so if he did make the wrong decision he still has more than enough time to go to another club.

He could but seeing as he came up through the ranks at valencia , he may feel he should show them gratitude and help them out by getting the best price they can.

But realistically, that wouldn't happen. He would move to help out the club, but the choice of club would be his. No one is going to give up their football aspirations just for that. Why didn't Villa just move to Man City too then?

You must fall into the 10% category.

Cos Villa's age is nto with him, he wants trophies NOT extra money ;)

Villa wasn't a youth product of valencia so has no reason to help them out. Villa started at sporting gijon then moved to real zaragoza and then to valencia. Also barca made €40 million offer which was the highest valencia received so he didn't have to pick.

Sure silva would have picked man utd, chelsea ,ect if they matched city's offer but he was never going to make it tough for valencia.

Dude, that is nonsense. No player is that altruistic. It may have been a small part of it, but the huge wage packet made the deal happen.

Dude - how can he lose? His boyhood club gets a fat cheque, he gets a few fat cheques and if City doesn't deliver he will have no problem forcing through a move to a club that is in contention for trophies if he keeps up his good form. You seem to be ignoring the fact that he is 24 and has time on his side. He's not Villa who is nearing the end of his career (maybe a few good years left in the tank) and one year of playing in the Europa League is nothing compared to seeing his club benefit from the money they got, boost his bank balance and possibly move into the higher echelons with City themselves.

He can lose by not going to his first choice club, and they have a season like Barca's last year, where they wipe the boards clean and pick up all the trophies.

It doesn't matter how old he is, by being at a less prominent club, it could cost him the Champions' League, or the domestic cup. And whatever club he goes to next might never win it again.

Arsenal confirmed the signing of Laurent Koscielny yesterday

It hasnt been so slow for City tho

Appearently Chelsea have submitted a 40 million pound bid for Torres...

Wait and see.

With our lovely Chairman we have, I wouldn't be surprised that you get him for less.

Seriously, it won't happen but if it did, that will definitely be the last straw out of all the last straws I've pulled out.

Sneijder no chance. Balotelli depends on the price, if someone is willing to offer €40 million or more he will be sold.

Wesley has already come out and said he is staying. He is very up front kind of player so I have no reason to doudt his words. Unlike maicon and balo his agent has also talked about renewing his contract unlike those two who seem intend on getting a transfer for their clients and big pay day for themselves.

Ferguson phoned marco branca(inter sporting director) and told him he will offer €1 million more than whatever man city is prepared to offer for balotelli. So far if the papers are correct city have offer €30 million but inter rejected that.
