2010 Final Draw: Cape Town

Looks very slick.

One gripe - there's hardly a hint of Africa anywhere and there are great designs based on the SA flag out there ?
 
can't wait to know which teams I'll be watching. My tickets were confirmed on the 24th April...it's been a hell of a wait to see who we'll see live!
 
SA will get an easy draw, hosts always do. Just watch as the fifa political wheel turns. Italy or Argentina will get the group of death as Sep doesn't like them.;)

That's not exactly a revelation... as hosts we are placed in pot 1 with all the top teams.

Even if you are seeded you have the possibility of getting the group of death. I have never seen the host nation getting the group of death. Korea and Japan also got soft groups in 2002. Personally I don't believe the host nation should be seeded automaticaly, I think automatic qualification is more than adequate reward.

Fifa will make sure SA don't get portugal or france just wait and watch tonight.

Judjing from our previous participation, we drew with Denmark, Paraguay, and beat Slovenia. I think we will do much better than that considering we will have home advantage

The SA side has gone backwards since those days. While a side like slovenia have actually improved a lot. Knocking out russia in the qualifying playoff was very impressive.

SA will have to improve a lot by now and the wc to stand any chance of making the second stage unless they pull a korea and have some dubious calls go their way.

lol @ the supersport presenters last night that said France would be an easy draw for SA

It's not a reward...continued participation tof the host nation guarantees local support for the tournament.
Imagine if the hosts did not participate...the stadiums will be only be built halfway :D
 
Dont worry, the transmission is on the putrid side. Damn sabc cant even get their sound issues sorted, hope this isnt what we're transmitting to the world

England has an easy group.
