All I was doing was making a point, that crime is and does happen. We should not mock people because they report it. How some people felt WC 2010 would turn out, so what it is their business. However you guys personally attacking forum members, I am sorry that is not on.
The ones being run down are the ones who wanted the world cup to fail.

Me? marine1 said in the other world cup thread that he hoped that there would be another terrorist attack so that the world would 'wake up'. His words not mine.
If the search function wasn't so faulty I'd find it but marine1 uses 'attack' in A LOT of posts apparently.

I can only assume that you're referring to comments like these:
Guys like killadoob are taking the piss and doing so in good spirit. He didn't get all sensitive and complain about personal attacks, and as a result he seems to get along with most people, and them with him.
Linoman: I think the point is that this was a WC thread. You entered it and mentioned being mugged, which has no relevance to what was being discussed. Now you've changed it around to mention personal attacks. What exactly are you trying to accomplish?
Let's be clear about something.
A mugging is not in the slightest way unique unique to South Africa. Muggins are relatively common place even in countries considered first world.
But what is unique to white South Africans is that we've manufactured such a culture of neurosis and fear mongering that when something like a mugging does happen people lose their collective minds and start to believe the hype as if this one thing affirmates and validates the neurosis. It doesn't.
With that said I'm sorry you got mugged and that must have been very traumatic. I was in an attempted hijacking once (not in South Africa) and I can relate. My advice is rather than giving in the fear and letting it destroy you and your peace of mine, it's time to think rationally. What happened to you was an isolated event. The chances of any violence coming to you in this country is extremely minimal and you are far, far more likely to die in a car crash on the way to work and even hundreds of more time likely to die from cancer. Just like that won't stop you driving a car or eating processed foods there's no reason to spend your life worrying about such an unlikely thing.

What credit? the Stadiums were built by european organisations, South Africa Had bugger all to do with anything besides providing money(oh yea, besides the local officials gettting a few million for being involved in the process,Basically legal bribes), and guess how much debt we are in now after building these flashy(Once again typical African mentality), extravegant stadiums.The government is still useless and can't organise anything, why would you try give them credit for the World Cup when you know FIFA Basically took over all proceedings involving getting the World Cup ready, the GAUVAMOONT had bugger all to do with it beside signing papers and accepting fat bonuses.
Oh and the best part is, guess who will be paying for these stadiums, not the 25 % of South Africans that are unemployed , but mostly the unwanted "Whites" of South Africa that actually have jobs and pay a much higher rate of tax and who didn't even vote for the useless ANC.
Puts things in perspective doesn't it.
Ther are no comments that are even worthy of an infraction let alone a ban in this thread(including mephisto's comment.) This thread bump just irritates and embarasses some people.
