Slip on your ‘eating pants’ and head to La Bottega Restaurant in Woodstock for the Mother City’s biggest pig-out!


There are five essential food groups: bacon, streaky bacon, crispy bacon, candied bacon and, of course, bacon crackling. And while nutritionists can’t seem to agree on which section is the most beneficial for basic health, bacon-lovers are throwing caution (and cholesterol worries) to the wind because the Cape Town BaconFest is set to conjure perfect plates of bacony goodness on Saturday, 29 November 2014 at the La Bottega Restaurant in Woodstock.

I see this isn't organised by the same people who organised the Cape Town Bacon Fest at The Wembley Tap in May.
From all accounts I read it was a complete disaster.
I wasn't there, but read on their Facebook page how rubbish it was.
