would hold back for the 2015 model, too many issues with the 1.4tfsi engine.

All pics are of the 2015 ford focus.Even the top gear guys like the St line, just saying.

The thread says GTI.When i think gti, i think of the golf.I completely forgot about the polo gti.Well the fiesta st is a good car aswell.

Redlining the engine before it's properly broken in or even warmed up can damage it in such a way that problems only show up a lot later. This is what I mean.
A car should be baby'd the first few thousand km, which will never happen with a demo.

Actually if you do it properly while breaking it in a hard driven car can last longer and often push more power than one that was driven "by the book".

But there is a very particular method to it and it involved also changing the oil at 500km or so.

Saying redlining a car by default is bad for it, is untrue.

Which is exactly why many performance engines are run in by the factory and the bit in the manual isn't about the engine at all but about the other components like brakes and tyres.

That looks spectacular! I have dropped you a PM.

To all the gentlemen that decided to throw their input into this, thanks a lot, I appreciate it.

And to the few that decided to post pics of Fords, I hope all your turbos blow and you get ebola.

My cousin had an A3 and the turbo "blew".My parents have an A4 and experienced issues with the braking system, the entire braking system was replaced in that car .The aircon gave up in their golf 5.The german quality mindset is a South African thing.

All manufacturer's experience issues, they sell too many cars each year for there not to be. German quality is superior when compared to the likes of Ford, but that is a discussion for another day.

My comment to the guys who posted about Ford is not that I think the ST is a crappy car,but is due to the fact that I clearly stated what my options are, and Ford was not among them. Not because I dont know that the ST exists, but because it is not my cup of tea.
