Would've been too far a departure from the standard Civic hatch body, which would mean drastically increased manufacturing costs.

Yah I think they might have Miss Daisy's driver there. Their figures for the RS6 were also err suspicious. 4.59sec vs 3.9secs that others have achieved.

True Top Speed: 267.85 km/h @ 6 500 rpm in 6th (Clock 276 km/h)

CAR test at sea level

0-100 km/h = 5.91sec
1/4 mile = 14.14sec @ 171 km/h
1km = 25.41sec @ 211 km/h

Still not impressed. A Fiesta ST with just stage 1 remap runs a 14.0 dead at Tarlton. No hardware mods.
