Assume you mean the GTI?

I got my ST when the Mk7 GTI just launched, and for R60k less than the GTI. The ST interior is not on the same level as the Golf, but as far as dynamics and driving enjoyment the ST wins.

This is more a facelift upgrade, same engine different chassis.
I don't see many upgrading unless they are new to the ST world.
Great car, driven both and the Fiesta ST is more fun.

Yes like I mention top ST3 model gets the lovely 8 incher (Sync 2) from the top Fusion; base ST1 gets the 2012-looking Sync 1 system.

This is true, ST values plummet! I know I am keeping mine for a long time yet.

That pricing is ridiculous.
I only got my ST3 because it was priced at 300k.
I do think its more fun to drive than a GTI but anything else the GTI wins.

Had the 2007 ST, the facelift and the ST250... the new facelift makes some good changes, especially the front end and the interior which many felt was too cluttered in terms of the instrument panel and centre console. Love the new color - not sure what it is called though. I had the tangerine scream and loved it!
