2016 BMW M4 GTS

Thanks for the original link Fiesta. Reading about the water injection was awesome. That is real innovation. Absolute tech wizardry.

Lol not sure they can claim first production car with water injection, Chrysler had it way back in 1962 with the 1962 Oldsmobile F85 and so did Saab with the 1978 99 Turbo, and wouldn't be surprised if there more.. Guess it's a marketing gimmick as Water/meth is well known in the tuning/modding world.

Makes no difference. I had never heard of it, and I can pretty much bet that the way BMW implement it is light years apart from something from the 60's and 70's.

Ignorance is bliss.. Of course it makes a difference it's been done you're not the first and no it's still the same way but with the advancement of computer controlled controllers, it's still water and methanol being injected in an engine the principle hasn't changed. It's a small gimmick system and i bet you won't be able to run higher Methanol mixes, so it won't even compare to a proper performance Water meth kits like Snow Performance and Devils Own water meth kits as they have already announced they will be doing an upgrade kit also means it's a gimmick..

Not to be a dick (although I know I am) but if you fix your spelling and grammar (here and in that linked page) I'd take you a lot more seriously.

All I'm saying, is that for me, (ignorant grumpy, vagrant that I may be) this article was the first time I'd heard of this, and I appreciate it from a technical point of view. If it has been done in the past, that's wonderful, but I'll stand by my reasoning that a 2015 iteration of the technology will probably outstrip a 1960's iteration of the same core principle.

I'm not saying I'm off to suck BMW's technology and /or marketing dick.

Your morning wood.
Seems to have worked wonders the exact opposite for me. :D
Dont mind a wing but this is ugly
Have to agree. I seriously wouldn't want to drive something like that. Just lacks subtlety and screams 'look at meeee'. I mean, each to their own, it has a nice interior though, but that and the engine are probably the only thing I like.
