V6 in a Ford GT? Lol.

I think it is partly due to the Le Mans regulations as the car will return to celebrate its anniversary. Ford also opted to mass produce the V6 than the V8, creating the 3.5 L EcoBoost V-6. The previous generation Ford GT had numerous issues with its V8 modular block…

She be very pretty!! But for my taste, I wish they would make those bonnet pods (dunno what it is called) not as deep. It needs the resemblance, but not as deep.

Mind explaining that to us non "I spend my Sundays polishing my camshaft" types?

Well, Americans are known for putting V8's in just about everything including lawnmowers.

But they didnt want to put in their new Ford GT?

The American market needs to abide to the 2017 regulation to meet the 4.5 MPG CAFE rating, V8's don't easily allow this. 4 and 6 cylinders, and hybrids, will be powering the latest American muscle cars. Trucks are also being powered by turbocharged V6 engines. Their motorsport is already adapting to the required 4.5 MPG CAFE rating.

On this note, the V8 plants in Australia and New Zealand are also closing down.

Wow did American finally build a car that doesn't use a tractor engine :D

I think it looks purdy :p

And horrible fuel consumption!

Wish the V4 could make a comeback.

I don't know about the V4, the Mustang 1 (I) had a V4. V4's are mainly used in small tractors (and other agriculture tools), as outboards and in the construction industry in the modern times. There are however many 4-cylinder cars in the market.
