Mainz goalkeeper Loris Karius is in Liverpool for a medical ahead of completing a £4.7m move to the club.

The former Germany Under-21 international is expected to spend the next few days in the city.

Personal terms have been agreed after Liverpool met the terms of the 22-year old's release clause.

The Liverpool boss is set to welcome Loris Karius to Merseyside in a £4.7m move from Mainz.

The 22-year-old goalkeeper will undergo a medical today ahead of his deal.

And Klopp wants to follow that up by signing two more stars from the Bundesliga.

According to The Express, the Reds are keen on deals for Mahmoud Dahoud and Mario Gotze.

Borussia Monchengladbach ace Dahoud is now Liverpool’s first choice midfield target ahead of Poland international Piotr Zielinski.

The 20-year-old would also cost around £20m.

Gotze, meanwhile, has been told by Bayern Munich that he can leave the club this summer and has been heavily linked with a reunion with Klopp at Anfield.

Karius and Gotze have the same agent and Liverpool are hoping to tie up a £20m transfer for the World Cup winner.
