2016 US Masters

Louis the only remaining SA hope, but 9 shots off the pace. Still, weirder things have happened so we'll see. Looks like we're going to get that mouthwatering pairing of McIlroy and Spieth.

So another Masters comes and goes and as usual, it delivered!

Congrats to Danny Willett. You'd definitely have got long odds on him winning. All the more incredible given that he wasn't even meant to be playing as his wife was due to give birth on the 10th but since the baby arrived early, he played.

Hard luck to Jordan Spieth. His wasn't the first meltdown when in a seemingly invincible position and it won't be the last. Just think Rory McIlroy at the 2011 Masters or Adam Scott at The Open in 2012. He doesn't seem like the type to dwell on something like this though so I'm sure he'll learn from it and move on.

A pity the SA challenge never materialised. To be fair, no one expected Ernie to challenge for the win but there were high hopes on the likes of Oosthuizen, Schwartzel and Grace with only Louis making any impression. Speaking of Louis, if you haven't seen his hole in one on the 16th yet, check it here. Definitely one of the more bizarre ones you'll see!

Until the US Open on the 16th of June then :)

Insane !
Not something you see everyday .

What does the rules state regarding Holmes` ball should it have gone in as well ?

Was wondering the same thing. I don't think he'd be so lucky though. Think the course marshal following this pairing would've ruled the ball had to be replaced at its original spot.

Is it just me or was Louis actually lucky to have him the other ball? It seems to me like it would have run a long way from the pin if it hadn't hit and gone in.
