Sharan is bigger; a "full size MPV" you could say goes directly against the Chrysler (Grand) Voyger; Renault Espace etc

The smaller Touran would go up against the Mazda 5; C4 Picasso; Corolla Verso etc

Was about to comment about the SV myself when I opened the thread but I see that's been handled.

Well, one can get a 7 seater Touran version, I don't think there is a 7 seater SV.

Need a 5 seater? Take whichever is the cheaper one, in my opinion.

Little more info on that.To differentiate the SV from the new Touran; VWSA has the local SV with the "low power" engine options & at best the mid spec (Comfortline) options.

The new Tournan when it comes to SA; around Q1 2016; will have the higher power engine options; higher spec level options & of course that 7-seater option. And of course it will cost more than the Golf SV.

But yes its a rather thin line VW(SA) is treading...

I mentioned in the MY 2017 Up! thread that my reasoning the all-glass tailgate option is not being offered here is due to our much harsher climate as well as our driving conditions.

The Inherent risk of the all-glass tailgate is not ideal for our roads.
