2017/18 Transfers and Rumours

Chelsea and Manchester United could spark a bidding war with Tottenham for Everton midfielder Ross Barkley, according to The Times .

Barkley has a year left on his contract at Goodison Park and has been tipped to leave this summer, although Everton’s £50 million valuation is deterring potential bidders.

Tottenham are reportedly favourites to sign the England international, but Chelsea and United are now keeping close tabs on Barkley’s situation.

I thinks the news papers is getting a bit desperate, can't see why Man utd needs Barkley.

I would shudder if he moved to United to replace Carrick... as a CM he would be welcomed but a 1.65m tall CDM in the EPL no thank you

I'm not sure I get what you are saying - whats his height got to do with it?

Have you watched his play? What I'm referring to is this:

As a CDM - 1.65m short against EPL teams he will get the **** kicked out of him, bully him off the ball as he likes to play the ball out from the back. To rely on him to cover our back 4, I would be worried.

As a CM - more space to play around, has a CDM and 4 defenders behind him, less pressure to hold on to the ball so he can try his gamestyle.

Kante is around 1.68 and he does just fine so will Verratti with Herrera and Pogba

The above is what happens to Carrick every game - so he would be an improvement as he atleast runs, works hard and can also tackle

Alvaro Morata has landed in London to complete a medical ahead of his £58m move to Chelsea. (Source: SkySports)

Maybe, but why is Real Madrid letting him go? Who is ahead of him at Madrid, Benzama. Is Madrid bringing in someone else?

It's a weird one...Morata played less than Vazquez last season and Vazquez could barely buy a goal. So ja, selling him looks like the first move...they will need cover for the old man Ronaldo also so maybe 2 forwards to come in.

strangely enough he managed 15 goals in 26 not a bad return for a bench warmer

only the BBC are in front of him, maybe zidane just doesn't rate him like james rodriguez

Doesn't even rate James either...he's sent him on loan for 2 years to Bayern. Going to be funny if they play each other in Champions League...

Since when does RM do anything logical with players

That's a steal at 13 million. He still has many goals in him, would have been perfect for United.

Good luck to him and will certainly watch him - dont really think he would be "perfect". Rashford is looking so good and I would love for him to be that guy which it really looks like he can. Lukaku and Rashford switching in between is better than what Chica could provide right now. Rash/Luk can both play down the middle and on the wings and can run with the ball..Chica is more of a poacher no?

Yep he's definitely a poacher I meant perfect in the Solskjaer mold, super sub to get a goal here and there and start the odd game.

the barca bastards are sniffing around coutinho again. willing to do business at around 75Mil sterling. they have gotten the firm finger apparently.

Ah I was thinking that as well...but would he come back to be a sub or rather prefer first team football at this stage?
