Liverpool exodus continues as Pedro Chirivella closes in on transfer to Rosenborg
Liverpool midfielder Pedro Chirivella is set to seal a £3.5million move to Rosenborg.

The 21-year-old Spaniard will travel to Norway to undergo a medical in the next few days after a deal was agreed between the clubs.

Liverpool will receive £2.4million guaranteed with the fee potentially rising to £3.5million with add-ons.

The Reds have negotiated a buyback option for each of his first three seasons at Rosenborg. He is likely to attend their Europa League clash with Celtic in Trondheim on Wednesday.

Rosenborg's new Dutch coach Rini Coolen and sporting director Stig Inge Bjornebye, the former Liverpool full-back, rate Chirivella highly and believe he's the perfect fit for their fluent style.

Chirivella, who has previously had loan spells at Go Ahead Eagles and Willem II, has two years remaining on his Liverpool contract.

His last outing for the Reds was Saturday's final USA tour game against Manchester United in front of 101,000 fans in Michigan.

Ben Woodburn to miss Liverpool's French training camp as Aston Villa and Sheffield United chase loan
Liverpool teenager Ben Woodburn will not travel to the club's training camp in France on Monday as he prepares to go out on loan.

Championship clubs Aston Villa and Sheffield United are competing to secure the 18-year-old midfielder's services for the 2018/19 campaign. The Reds have already rejected a loan offer from Wigan Athletic.

Jurgen Klopp rates Woodburn highly and believes he has a big future at Anfield.

The Reds boss was delighted with the Wales international's contribution during the pre-season tour of America.

However, Klopp has decided that a temporary move would be best for his development after he spent last season on the fringes of the senior squad.

Competition for places is greater than ever following the summer signings of Fabinho, Naby Keita and Xherdan Shaqiri.

Klopp wants Woodburn to go and play regularly this season at a club where he will be valued. He believes he will be ready to compete for a first-team spot at Liverpool within the next 18 months.
