I've always disliked Alves, but he's admittantly a great footballer, and this really throws a spanner in the works. If City don't sign Mendy and Walker, or at least two full backs of similar quality, AND some decent backups, I think City are really going to struggle next season. They must stop messing around and splash the cash so the new players can join up in the pre-season tour next week.

Edit: Alves' comments fall a bit flat though when it's based on Ligue 1, where there's pretty much only 2 teams that compete for the title every year. So only in that context does he have more chance of winning something.
