Still approve of this I do in absolute spades..
The only part of the exterior design that i'm not totally sold on is that "vent" at the top rear of the front wheel... just stands out a bit to me the more I look at the car...

Aston Martin DB11 with Mercedes-AMG V8 caught on video
An Aston Martin DB11 equipped with a twin-turbocharged V8 engine has been spotted testing at the Nürburgring, revealing its thuggish V8 exhaust note for the first time.
The engine is sourced from Mercedes-AMG and so based on the ‘hot-vee’ unit of the AMG GT. It will produce around 525bhp when it’s added to the DB11 engine line-up sometime in the coming year or two.
Currently, the DB11 is only available with Aston Martin’s all-new twin-turbocharged V12 that produces 600bhp. But thanks to its deal with Mercedes, which involves co-working on powertrain development, the DB11 and also 2018 V8 Vantage will inherit the AMG unit.
The DB11 already features Mercedes electronic architecture and switchgear, and the same is expected for Aston’s other future models.
Autocar understands that aside from engine development work, the spotted DB11 test car is being used alongside several other V12-engined mules to finalise chassis settings before the first production DB11s are built.
Although the mule is wearing camouflage, it doesn’t appear to feature any exterior changes compared to the regular V12 model. An inside source confirmed that the camo is there because this mule has been in use for several months.
When the V8 DB11 makes production, few, if any, aesthetic changes are expected.
Due to the smaller block under the bonnet, the model will be a little lighter than the 1770kg V12 model, but thanks to its smaller power output, performance will trail that of the range-topping model.

Drop-top uses same 5.2-litre V12 as the coupé, making 600bhp and 516lb ft of torque
The Aston Martin DB11 Volante has been revealed ahead of going on sale in spring 2018.
Described as a “lightly disguised engineering car”, the convertible version of the recently launched DB11 will use the same twin-turbo 5.2-litre V12 as the coupé, making 600bhp at 6500rpm and 516lb ft between 1500 and 5000rpm.
The DB11 Volante could also launch with a twin-turbo 4.0-litre V8 from Mercedes-AMG, which is due to be introduced to the Aston Martin range next year in the successor to the V8 Vantage. Producing 525bhp, the engine is currently used in the Mercedes-AMG GT.
The carbonfibre-bodied DB11 Volante will be slightly heavier than the coupé due to the addition of the roof mechanism and chassis strengthening. With an inherently strong body and chassis, expect only a subtle increase in weight – a spokesman told Autocar the Volante is aiming to match the coupé’s 0-62mph time of 3.9sec.
A sound-deadening multi-layer fabric roof will keep noise down in the cabin, and Aston Martin is likely to make subtle changes to the driving dynamics, including a slightly softer suspension set-up than the hardtop.
With four-seater convertible rivals including the Bentley GT Speed Convertible and Ferrari California T, as well as additions like the S63 AMG Convertible, the DB11 Volante will launch with a price-tag of around £155,000, £10,000 more than the hard-top.
The 2018 DB11 Volante is just one part of Aston Martin’s plan for the next five years, which, in the near future, includes replacements for the V8 Vantage and Vanquish, as well as a new all-electric version of the Rapide, called the RapidE. The Aston Martin AM RB-001 hypercar will go on sale in 2018, while the electric DBX crossover – the first car to be produced at Aston’s St. Athans, Wales plant – will arrive in 2020.

Aston Martin has started production of the DB11, with the first 1000 cars getting a special once-over from Aston CEO Andy Palmer
The Aston Martin DB11 has officially entered production today, marking the manufacturer's latest renaissance and renewed product offensive.
Andy Palmer, Aston Martin’s CEO, will inspect the first 1000 examples that roll off the production line, although Aston has revealed that it has received more than 3000 orders for its new grand tourer already.
No limit is being put on the DB11’s production run; the only factor determining how many will be made is Aston Martin’s build capacity for the model.
Six more new models will follow the DB11, including a crossover which will be entirely new territory for both Aston Martin and the supercar segment entirely and built in a brand new Aston Martin factory in Wales.
Also under Aston Martin’s ‘Second Century Plan’ – so called because Aston turned 103 years old this year – are a new Vantage, Vanquish, Rapide EV, and Lagonda saloon.
The Vantage is tipped to be revealed around this time next year, while the DBX crossover will arrive at the turn of the next decade. Aston also grabbed headlines earlier this year with the announcement of its AM-RB 001 joint-venture hypercar with the Red Bull Formula 1 team.
The DB11 Volante – the DB11’s convertible variant – will go on sale in Spring 2018.
Although not in direct competition with Lamborghini’s upcoming Urus SUV, it’s likely that the cars will rival each other when they come to market.
The DB11 is available to order now, with prices starting at £154,900. Deliveries are set to start in October, although orders placed now won’t be delivered until the end of next year, according to an Aston Martin spokesman.
