"Based on the 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged V6 engine in the Macan S, the Porsche Macan GTS incorporates hardware changes and a unique engine calibration to allow the engine to develop 360 hp (265 kW) at 6000 rpm and 369 lb.-ft. (500 Nm) of torque between a broad 1650-4000 rpm. The rest of the all-wheel-drive powertrain matches up to the Macan Turbo; Porsche's seven-speed PDK dual-clutch transmission is combined with Porsche's Traction Management system (PTM) that actuates an electro-hydraulic, multi-plate clutch to variably engage the front axle depending on traction needs. All told, this powertrain package accelerates the Macan GTS to 60 mph in as little as 4.8s (0-100 km/h: 5.0s) in conjunction with the optional Sport Chrono Package and up to a top track speed of 159 mph (256 km/h)."

Porsche said in a statement: "This is a purely precautionary measure, as there have been no reports of accidents or injuries as a result of this concern."

Owners of the affected vehicles will be contacted by local dealers, who will perform the estimated one-hour repair and will be carried out free of charge.

Just to clarify things a bit.

There was a recall on Nissan Navara's around 2 years back. Possible faulty mags. I got a new set (including spare) of mags out of that possible fault.

The really big issue is "intense" price & fokol comes standard. The Macan (Macon) with the halogen lights look ugly

That's debatable...bottom line is their SUV lineup add a substantial figure to their bottom line.
