Why butcher the link like you did?

That being said, I don't see what the Aircon filtering has to do with anything. For 1, an Aircon is used to cool the car down, only other alternative is driving with the windows open and then getting 100% of the pollution. :confused:

Flagship Toyota C-HR ‘Luxury’ launches in South Africa

Toyota South Africa has added a fourth derivative to its C-HR range, positioning the new “Luxury” variant at the summit of the small crossover line-up.

The C-HR 1,2T Luxury CVT is priced at R422 100, which makes it some R45 000 more expensive than the previously range-topping 1,2T Plus CVT derivative.

What do you score for the extra cash? Well, the newcomer’s standard features list includes two-tone paintwork (there are five combinations on offer, including the optional “Cyan Bi-tone” pictured below), LED headlamps (with an automatic levelling function), LED taillamps, LED front foglamps and auto-retractable side-mirrors.

Inside, the C-HR Luxury adds leather upholstery, a start button (and smart entry), pockets on the back of the driver and passenger seats, power adjustable lumbar support and seat heaters up front. Park distance control and an “intelligent park assist” system are also included.

In addition, while the other derivatives in the range feature just two airbags (something we highlighted in our road test of the 1,2T Plus model), this latest variant gains side, curtain and knee airbags for a total of seven.

Under the bonnet, nothing has changed. The C-HR Luxury draws its urge from the Japanese automaker’s turbocharged 1,2-litre four-cylinder petrol engine, which sends 85 kW and 185 N.m to the front axle via a continuously variable transmission (note that the flagship is not offered with a manual gearbox).

The C-HR benefits from Toyota SA’s new service plan arrangement, which in this case comprises a six-service/90 000 km plan (with intervals of 15 000 km). A three-year/100 000 km warranty is also included.

Toyota South Africa has added a range-topping 1.2T Luxury derivative to its C-HR compact family car range. Here are the specs and prices of the consolidated line-up.

The C-HR was launched in our market in early 2017 and the distinctively styled crossover has proven quite popular among fashion-conscious urbanites. For 2018, Toyota South Africa has introduced a flagship version that boasts more equipment and safety features as standard.

Visually, the 1.2T Luxury derivative is distinguishable by a two-tone paint finish, but the key changes feature in the newcomer's interior. Additional standard equipment includes leather trim, push-button start, seat-back pockets, heated seats, LED headlamps, LED front fog lights and tail light clusters, colour-coded auto-folding and heated side mirrors, park distance control and intelligent park assist. The safety spec has improved too... Whereas other C-HR derivatives have only two airbags, the 1.2T Luxury comes equipped with driver-, passenger-, side-, curtain- and knee airbags.

The powertrain remains unchanged. The 2018 Toyota C-HR 1.2T Luxury is powered by a 1.2-litre 4-cylinder turbopetrol motor that produces 85 kW and 185 Nm; it drives the front wheels via a continuously variable (automatic) transmission. Fuel economy is claimed to be 6.4 L/100 km.

All C-HRs come standard with a 6-services/90 000 km service plan and 3-year/100 000 km warranty. Service intervals are set at 15 000 km.

we had a look at one when my wife wanted to replace the A1. but the options in SA is very limited and we walked away a bit dissapointed. we still liked the look. Walked across to VW and signed an OTP for an R-Line Tiguan. Toyota needs to up their game on features

German always trumps Japanese, that will never change. Good choice by the way.
 
Pfft, range topper here (with some extras) will set you back 38,000 euros (R590,000).

I like it, but not at that price. Will wait for a second-hand model or look at an HRV.
 
So they launched the C-HR with only two airbags, so that this range topping model can come and dazzle everyone with six airbags at R422k? Clever...
 
I see the entry level models don't come with those previous gen Corolla alloys anymore
