Still does not take away anything from the R-Line Tiguan test drive. For a family with two small kids it is a perfect car and when you buy a car on those reasons you really could not be bothered with how other people on the road see you. But yeah, a 407 coupe offers ISO fix with top tether on both rear seats. Just saying...

I totally get why this car was chosen, the reason it is R-Line is because daddy had an A3 cabriolet which he had to let go and mommy had a Golf 6, and she makes the rules. Driving this car I can't think of a better compromise. I never drove that A3 though...

Let's hope they never get mecha-tronic issues in the future - both for their cars and in bed :D

Edit : QT, what are your picks in terms of replacing the Passat?

Was it the 2.0 TSI R-line you drove? I've only been in the normal 1.4 TSI and that was already a good drive, would actually like to drive the 2 liter at some stage.
 
Yup, the 2 liter. Way back when the first Tiguan came out I had the chance to drive the 1.4 TSI and I remember that it too was very impressive.

The only problem with the Tiguan for me is that the boot is a little small.
