The Range Rover SV Ultra is said to be the most technologically advanced and most luxurious Range Rover yet, according to the brand.
The new Range Rover flagship is powered by a BMW-sourced 4.4-litre turbocharged V8 engine. In this application it makes a mammoth 452 kW and 750 Nm and an 8-speed automatic is on duty. Expect a 0-100 sprint to be dispatched in around 4.5 seconds.

The Range Rover Sport SV Ultra is the “most exquisite interpretation of Range Rover luxury and distinction”, Land Rover says. The latest model in the automaker’s flagship SUV lineup features several bespoke exterior and interior design elements, and “world-first” tech – the latter coming in the shape of “pioneering” audio technology.
Starting with the latter, the Range Rover SV Ultra debuts an Electrostatic Sound system, which, the firm says, transforms the cabin into a “concert hall”. The setup features 21 lightweight thin-film transducers, integrated into the headrests and seatbacks, to create “personal auditoriums” for each seat. The audio setup further includes the company’s Body and Soul Seats and Sensory Haptic Floor tech.
The interior is dressed in a two-tone, Orchid White and Cinder Grey hue. The seats feature laser-etched mosaic patterns. The Range Rover Sport SV Ultra is available with a selection of exterior paint options, with Titan Silver exclusive to this model. The exterior features Satin Platinum and Silver Chrome accents. The new model rolls on 23-inch alloy wheels with Platinum Silver inserts.

Behold: the new Range Rover Electric, and yes, this EV can wade through water
Lots of tech, lots of ability, lots of... Range Rover - can this big, luxury electric car succeed?
A vast amount of tech has been thrown at the electric Range Rover, with the simple aim of making it just a Range Rover. Or more accurately of making it the Range Rover that we all think existed before, but never really did.
A Range Rover, we think, has a fabulously refined powertrain. In reality of course even a well-muffled V8 engine and superbly calibrated eight-speed gearbox can never be as smooth, quiet or proportional to inputs as an EV, not even a decade-old Renault Zoe. By the same token, we all think a Range Rover has near-perfect off-road traction systems, but actually they're nowhere near as subtly effective at controlling wheelspin with a combustion engine as they can be with electric motors.
This explains the 'nothing to see here' visuals. The Range Rover Electric looks like what it is: a Range Rover. The grille is blanked off (but at a glance appears otherwise) and there are aero tweaks in the underbody and wheels – anti-drag measures that are good for 10 miles' motorway range. Oh and there are no exhaust pipes, but anyway in the petrol car they're coyly hidden behind the rear valance. So you might already have seen one – they've been testing for some years, with no camouflage.
Prices start at £154,070 in Autobiography spec, and head towards a quarter million. Before spluttering at that cost, you might like to check the money combustion Range Rovers command these days.

Signifying the British marque’s first foray into fully electric mobility, Land Rover has unveiled the Range Rover Electric. Available to pre-order, the flagship all-electric Range Rover can be had in standard (SWB) and long-wheelbase (LWB) format. Several trim grades are on offer. The latter includes HSE, Autobiography, SV, SV Black, and SV Ultra. A First Edition variant will also be available.
The Range Rover Electric is equipped with dual electric motors – sited at the front and rear, respectively – producing combined power and torque outputs 404 kW and 850 N.m. According to the British luxury automaker, these figures allow the Range Rover Electric to complete the 0-100 km/h sprint in 4.3 seconds.
The Range Rover Electric’s 800 V architecture features a 118.5 kWh battery pack, which serves up a WLTP operating range of up to 598 km from a single, full charge. Land Rover quotes a “real-world” driving range of 535 km. The double-stacked lithium-ion battery can receive up to 350 kW at a DC fast charger. At the maximum charging rate, a 10-80% charge takes 22 minutes, Land Rover says, with a 10-minute top up adding 220 km of range.
