Long-term review: 2026 Mazda CX-60 3.3D AWD Takumi [Update]
On paper, it sounds impressive, but has it actually translated into meaningful fuel consumption savings so far? The car arrived with 1000 km on its clock and an average fuel consumption of around 8.5 L/100 km, and that has since dropped – with little conscious effort on my part – to a very respectable 6.7 L/100 km, although this is still some way off Mazda’s lofty 4.9 L/100 km claim…looks like some homework to be done right there.
But while some of the Mazda’s old-school features have so far proven welcome, the dial-based infotainment system interface isn’t one of them. Reducing an infotainment system’s interface to a dial-actuated spotlight that has to dial across every setting on each application, all the while diverting the driver’s attention from the road, just seems a bit backwards. Even so, It must be said that with its solid build, brawny but so-far frugal engine and pleasantly balanced road manners, the CX-60 is off to a good start.
