MultiChoice's year from hell

Last year was filled with challenges for DStv owner MultiChoice, with the company reporting a loss of R911 million during the year's second half and the loss of nearly half a million DStv subscribers in September 2023.

JP Morgan Chase & Co also downgraded the pay-TV company's rating, resulting in its share price tanking in July 2023.

Shame. Never saw that one coming.

It is not all doom and gloom for MC though. To delay the inevitable even more, they can retrench 90% of their useless staff. This will leave some capital for investors and some for losses incurred too. Employees are not their asset, or any company's asset for that matter, they are a drag on and loss to any company. Their biggest asset at this point in time is their investors. They better start focusing on them.

The question is not if it's going to get better, the question is if it's going to be a decade of hell, or less optimistic than that.

Retrenchments sadly don't get rid of the useless, some how those cockroaches remain.

I would say they are anti-woke since they seem to be blissfully unaware of society's hatred for their business practices.

Woke implies awareness, which is definitely not Monochoice.
Woke also implies you're a sheep and sheep are unaware.
