20mbps Contract >>> slow!

We'll chat again once you drop to 0.2 MBps (which is still faster than 56k).

O.6mbps this morning while on and paying for 20mbps package and new infrastructure in the area. Close to exchange with excellent attenuation.

Am I allowed to be a little peeved with 0.6mbps?

Nope, I generally sync at 2.6MBps and that's fine. Perhaps not quite enough for the most competitive games but every once in a while I still manage to be the hero/ragequit inducer in Rocket League so it's ok (at 176-208 ping). And youtube is fine too, perhaps not for 1080P stuff, but 720P is fine (without buffering restrictions).

You are over-exaggerating. We'll chat again once you drop to 0.2 MBps (which is still faster than 56k).

Your line speed doesn't have to do with latency beyond if your connection is bottle-necked.
With the rest of the world getting faster and faster connections, the average speed goes up. Near all internet content is made with that average in mind, you would not be able to stream 720p YouTube on a 2Mbps without waiting for it to buffer.

I just cannot go back to that, I'd rather just waste my money on LTE.

Youtube has a requirement that 25% (or a certain amount of time) needs to be buffered before it can play however with addons that restriction can be removed and then generally very little buffering happens as most of the time the buffer will be outpacing the playback....for me at least.

I didn't mean that you can't be peeved at 2MBps. I just meant that general browsing still functions at that speed, as well as some other activities. Of course it's already ridiculous VS the 20MBps you should be having but it's still a workable speed VS the usual speed reduction most people experience (well below 1MBps) and billions of miles away from 56k.

You had compared 2MBps to 56k, I hope that now that you are at 0.6MBps you realize how wrong you were.

They came today and fixed me up :) Line stats look better than before!

Current : 10239
Max : 25848
SNR : 24.8
Attenuation 22.5

When this issue started, we limited sync to 10mbps from the 20mbps, but now I can take it back again. I used to get 20mbps @ 6SNR, but I'm sure with these it'll be far better
