Looking at getting another 5GB offer with modem.

As far I know, there are two 21.6 modems, but not sure which is better, can you please help me to select one?

What are each modem's pros and cons? How do they compare to each other?

Thanks,
Jagtiger. :)

get the Huawei, simply because its more reliable, I've had much more clients with problems with the ZTE then the Huawei.

Some Hauwei gets to hot and then have connectivity issues.

Hauwei more compatible with 3G routers.

I think most shops will sell you a ZTE modem

Hauwei +1
Like said more compatible with routers.
So far only had 1 with problem, but got it sorted same day.
ZTE i have avoided after reading user experiences with it.
But hey we could be wrong & ZTE could just work great for you, your choice ;)

Finding stock of the 21mbs Hauwei will be a mission though. We tried to find one phoned and walked into about 20 different stores in Joburg (contract or outright) no one had stock.

Hi All

If you guys want to buy them, PM me and ill try to see if ware house has hauwei

Will either of them be able to do 42mbs after a firmware update.

Huawei all the way.

Had an ZTE to setup for site - never again. Going to insist on Huawei the next time.

Besides, the Huawei software is more simpler and elegant than the ZTE software.

Thank you all, guys! :)
I think, it will depend on availability of modems also.

Demand on it.
It is after all the one they have in there ads.

Checked in few shops - either they don't have Huawei, or only ZTE, or no stock of anything at all.
One critical issue: will it work from USB extension (3m Belkin cable)? If it's not, it will be EDGE all way.
