Yes yes... Except that the 2253BW is not matte, it uses the same 'MagicBright' coating as the 2253GW.

Even on your link, it's a matt finish. It says "High glossy black bezel" which refers to the frame of the monitor, not the screen.

Oh yeah! I haven't a clue what Samsung's name is. Why they can't all just have one name is beyond me! Would make life so much easier.

Yip, very confusing.

And it's almost impossible to tell the difference between the GW and BW in the pics on Google Images.
