Hey guys, for the past few months I havn't been able to raid in ANY 25-mans
when wotlk 1st came out it was ok.. hardly any DC at all.

Mweb is my service provider, Telkom supplies my line. My PC is core Quad, 4 gig ram, Gforce GTS250.. so that isnt the problem at all.

Iv tried running it on lowest grafix, no combat text, no sound, however, it makes no difference.

While im in battlegrounds, 10-mans and raiding allience cities it runs COMPLETELY fine.. low latency, NEVER disconnect and i can run in on full grafix.

Any ideas??

Uldar

I have been playing wow for awhile now an had always used an unshaped ADSL 384k line. Recently however I am also starting to have terrible lag and now also my 1st DC's on Thorim (Uldar 25).

As soon as I run into the fight... *snap* and I am dc . I can still hear the guy's on vent.

This makes me think: Is the wow service degrading on their side or is it our side. a Ping to any decent EU site gives me +- 300 ms with hardly any or no latency loss.

Any ideas?

Seems futile trying to play a game that only lets you play part of the pve content after we already have to sit out on proper pvp.

I believe that the problem is the amount of traffic transmitted during those fights. I remember having similar issues on KT in Naxx. I upgraded my WiMax connection to 1mbps and it solved the problem ...

snowman had the same problem same fight just stand inside the door and have every run in and engage the boss you'll get a lag spike but no dc

The disconnect problem with Thorim 25 has nothing to do with your line, it is a Blizzard problem, they spoke about it on the forums.

Our solution was to engage the initial creeps at which point 1 or 2 people might DC, then kill all those initial mobs except 1. Keep that last mob sheeped until the DC'ed people reconnect, then kill the mob and continue the fight as normal.

i only dced once at thoruim, but we failed it because there is like 5 dces on the pull at 25 man. If your not able to do 25 mans and u dc ont he pull, your isp is not giving the enough bandwith,on thoruim pull i checked something like 300kilobits per sec then it drops again, you need loads of bandwith for the pull, my buddy on hes 512k line unsahped even dced and he never dc in wow,but my hsdpa handle it fine

Turn off your Combat log. The one showing your Hits on the screen. Worked for me :)

Know how? Is it a case of just closing the combat log window, or is it a script or something you have to run?

it's not a speed related issue, people in europe with 20mb lines were dcĂng. It is something to do with the big worm.

Night 1 almost no dc's buy him, another night I dc on almost every pull! its a bug they will sort it out.

I once had constant disconnects in a raid only to discover that one of the wall connections in my house did not have an ADSL splitter. I also once had water contaminating my line.

I had the same problem. Only DC'd during 25mans and I tried disabling all of my mods, reducing video settings to minumun, turned off the combat log and nothing helped.

I thought perhaps my gfx card (since I was using the onboard one :o ).

To cut a long story short, I solved it by upgrading my 384k line to a 512k line.

Do you guys (any and all of those who replied so far) use ventrilo or not?

Yes, vent pretty much. I know some guilds use TS, but not many.

Some good guilds have different "rooms" for instance 'Raid1', 'Battleground', 'Arena1' etc etc.

Vent is kinda cap hungry so expect to use more megs through the month.

I have used both Team speak and Ventrilo. Current guild I am in, uses Ventrilo, but I found it to be much heavier on bandwidth usage than Team speak.
