I have been searching around the internet, and found it is possible to connect your PS3 to your iMac, and use the iMac as a screen for gaming. The problem is it needs expensive hardware, because the HDMi from the PS3 must be connected to the mini Display-port of the iMac.
Is there anyone here that has done this successfully? The hardware you need is something like this: http://www.tekserve.com/store/414/HDMI/-6323

yep. A PS3 and a 27" iMac :D

Some googling came up with this: http://kanexlive.com/products/item-id-3662.html
It only works at 720P though, due to a limitation on the iMac. Still, most games on the PS3 are 720P, and it'll look good. As soon as the iMac works with 1080P the kanex will too.

I also saw the kanex product, rather expensive. But I aslo found an article that states Apple gave the hardware the ok, so other companies will also start to make similar products, so hopefully over the next couple of months the prices will start to drop. With a 27" screen, as beautiful as the iMac, playing ps3 on it will be a dream, it is the best screen you can buy.
