2bps ADSL for gaming.... need arguments and finding...GO!!

I took a look at openweb's offerings and thought they have a few very good deals.
My one friend is on openweb though and he says that its really bad... especially for any sort of browsing.

so I still don't have any concrete advice/suggestions on who to go with.

Which package is he on?

i went for the gamers king account and my games were lagging like a mofo.... explain that? esp since on my afrihost 1 gig free the same game 5 mins after work fine? i wouldnt recommend openweb great for browsing if u dont plan on doing any heavy downloads and REALLY cheap but gaming nah

Im on a 2 meg with Mweb premium uncapped

On Dota i get 20MS on a local game and about 200MS on international.

i get about 220MS on eve online, back when i was playing battlefield 3 i use to get the same 220-280 on german servers.

Torrents move at about 140-170kb in the evenings and about 60kb during the day, steam and other game updates are usually betweek 100kb to 180kb

I game on international servers with a ping of 199 and locally with a ping of 9.

Like I said. Cheap account = cheap service.

BTW I'm on GOLD.

ok... I forgot to factor in that im sharing with my flatmate... so possibly would need 100 to 150 gig.

Games I play mainly online would be Mechwarrior online (with teamspeak), Warframe, Heroes of Newearth.

Also keep in mind that most online games these days come out with massive patches like every 2 months.

PM MrBeep and ask him for a test account on the service level you would like. I'm really happy with OpenWeb...been around and about and get the most value for money from OpenWeb, plus the account performs very well for gaming, browsing, streaming etc and from 7pm or there abouts I'm usually unshaped as well as all weekend. It all depends on what part of the country to what's best, that's why I say get a test account!

Ye the Gold packages are better, however, I haven't had any bad pings with games on the GamersKing account (touch wood).
Downloads I leave for afterhours, but to be honest, I have had a couple of streaming issues in the past.

But I am generally happy, and I get what I pay for.
