I have received the following debit on my bank account. Is this amount of R129 because it is a pro-rata charge for joining during the month? Anyone know?

yip the R129 is pro-rata for your 1st mnth - you probably joined around the 5th - on 1June you will probably be debited by R149, if the OOB shark hasn't caught you by the privates...

The 31050 with MM SMS is helping a lot.
If I want to soft cap on data usage or billing is there an email address that I can use?
Or do I have to call Vodacom directly?
AFAIK, you have to call VC and request your cap to be adjusted - from what I've been told, you can only do this after 3 months (I don't believe this story) and the minimum cap you can set is R50 and of course, they don't guarantee the cap - best effort they call it, as a result of the fact that they only check your usage every now and then, so don't download that 1GB movie when you're close to your cap - it could just cost you R1200! :-(
It would be great if one of the VC reps could confirm the above?!?!? (If it has been reliably explained elsewhere.... where?)
Thx for clearing that up, MYBB peeps are better than the bloody Vodacom reps, thx to guys like ocleroux etcetera that is alway willing to help.

I don't think so, i checked on my statement and only the -124.96 was deducted from my previous balance.

Bank charges are generally bundled into one amount for deduction at the end/beginning of the month.

Then why is it conditional on the website? I don't see where it says anywhere you can't get charged an activation fee.
Same here. Don't know why people pay for these expensive "packages" and think it's value for money especially at a lower interest rate.

Got the promotion this weekend from Vodacom 4u in Menlyn shopping centre. No extra fees, only paying for the actual promotion every month.

Cool, it actually splits the Normal and Night Owl balance now, when I check then balance via the mobile connect software.
