Hi guys, as I am currently looking for a car, and I am determined on not buying a new car (well not exactly determined, I just understand that the cars that I want do not fit into my budget if looking at new) I am hunting for 2nd hand vehicles.

Which sites would you recommend to search on? I have tried the obvious ones (autotrader, junkmail, surf4cars, carfind, gumtree) but was wondering if there were any others that I am missing...

thanks in advance...

What you've mentioned are the sites you'd really want to be monitoring.

Other than that, I really can't think of anymore off the top of my head.
I've bought a car from autotrader with no issues.

Online is 1 option, the other option is the auto trader and another option is to stop at random dealers and see what's on the floor.

Yeah those are the websites I used.

out of curiosity, what is your budget? What are you looking for?

well, that is the hard part... budget is max R 200K... I am currently driving an E36 328i Auto so I am looking at something with at least similar (8s), preferably faster acceleration, and also has to be under motorplan (I am really over paying for services - yesterday set me back R 5k).

In terms of specific cars I am looking for, in no particular order:
Mini Cooper S (i know it is gay, but such a fun car to drive)
Volvo C30 T5

Would prefer an auto, but not very adamant on the idea.

Also open to other options, but not really looking at G5/G6 GTi as they are driven very hard, and also way too common. The Focus ST also causes the same worries in my books. Would prefer a hatch, but feel free to suggest any good deals that you may stumble across.

hey guys, sorry bout the resurrect... have a quick question regarding another site that I stumbled upon : https://mytransunion.co.za/MainPages/VehicleSearchSite.aspx. Got to the site from a link on TransUnion's page... has anybody ever dealt with them? they seem to have some amazing prices (2011 Cooper S A/T) for R230k with 1500 km on the clock... this car costs minimum R310k new http://www.vehiclelocator.co.za/ind...CHTYPE=used&BUDGETMAX=350000&BUDGETMIN=100000... there were a couple equally good deals floating around there... are these repo/wrecks or something of the sort?
